  1. Stoked! Still playing Humanoid Sessions on regular basis. Was yet another deed of cultural heritage preservation from Rephlex HQ. Tbh, not a follower of FSOL and all the new Humanoid activity has slipped under my radar, so all the tracks here are completely new to me, such as the Touched comp one. Really digging what I'm hearing. Big thanks Purlieu for keeping us posted! ?
  2. Yes I agree and personally was just taking a piss. Had my own shit so I know what it's like to trying to cope with, say, depression and such. The key thing here is the total lack of information towards people who have thrown you some good amount of pounds in the strong faith there will be this massive tape set. I may be naive but I believe there would have been some empathy and understanding if Dave had come out straight with some update like: "sorry dudes, I'm living in a cardboard box on the street and atm staring at the shotgun barrel, so the tape set may have a slight setback, more info soon!"
  3. That was great! Loving the demo version. Thanks for the heads up!
  4. ^just wait when Analords are added to the bleepstore with tons of new extras. Then you can buy them third time! +1 to this (also added with tracks full of harder PW vibes) And since I'm posting the thread again....where the hell is that bleepstore update with the new tape tracks....and Rephlex cats....and R&S Saw 1.5 ?
  5. AFX business is melting....first this tidal shit and now a compilation of some unheard tracks on some totally random Serpent Records https://www.reddit.com/r/aphextwin/comments/b7kmua/the_afx_collection_an_afx_compliation_by_serpent/ April 14th guys, "vinyls and cassettes"
  6. On Tidal? Can anyone who uses it confirm? You ask from the wrong forum papa, create an account and head yourself to here: https://www.reddit.com/r/aphextwin/comments/b4zc72/found_this_on_tidal_what_is_it_its_awesome/ Thanks Ivan for the heads up though
  7. Yes, they were very wise. All I could remember was the discussion around the words "trannies" and "chinky mate"

  9. I remember trying Merzbow and it fell pretty much into no no category. Same for other legends such as Genocide Organ, Anenzaphalia or BDN. Although don't have any clue if the Merzbow stuff I listened was indeed 80's stuff or his chicken releases or whatever so will give it another go. Have heard Skullflower mentioned but never checked it. Thanks! btw lol for the photocopies. Important aspect of any self respecting ug release with any credibility. Bonus points for pics of anything mutilated. orphx rule. Maybe check out the following, all favourites of mine in the quest for noise I like.... http://newforces.bandcamp.com/album/thought-reform http://wormmonolith.bandcamp.com/album/worm-monolith http://zaimph.bandcamp.com/album/rhizomatic-gaze Big thanks. For some reason I really can't get fully into other/later orphx. But the comp I posted is really something. Extra thanks for providing bandcamp releases! Dunno if I really need to know some tape editions from early 90's limited to 4 copies.
  10. Posted this on the industrial thread and thought to ask here too if anyone knows noise similar to this: So stuff right in the fine border of industrial and noise. Have tried some artists - many of them mentioned also on this thread - but most of the noise stuff is too, eh, high pitched and make my ears bleed. So I guess I'm more looking for stuff with little smoother edges. Kinda gives me the same feeling like some ambient; instead of listening to samples of calming sound of a waterfall I get a screeching sound of pouring stream of scrap. One finnish record seller who is a serious noise veteran (Grunt, Clinic Of Torture) has a section in his shop called "hipster noise", maybe that's the exact genre I'm after here.
  11. This was discussed also here. iirc there were more labels mentioned: https://forum.watmm.com/topic/83233-braindance-record-labels-thread/ I pretty much still think this: "Once again would really like to give my shouts to labels like Occult Research, CPU, VUR and Love Love Records. Personally Love Love has managed to fill the void that Rephlex’s quitting left in me. When thinking about it, Love Love’s back-catalogue this far has been in the same spirit as what Rephlex was all about: some acidy braindance [check] in the form of Beatwife, drum’n bass & jungle [check] with dgoHn, some utterly bizarre electronic music [check] like Anklepants and then something that you wouldn’t expect to be released on the label focused on braindance etc. [check] : Beatmaster. So got to give a big hand to Samfez........" There's kinda point with Worms' post. As a huge Jodey fan I dig how he gets stuff out more frequently through his own Bandcamp than going through the Rephlex mill. I guess it's the same with Perälä and Colundi cult and some other Rephlex roster guys guys (like MNLTH putting out those awesome tape sets). As for the pure labels it's mostly Occult Research, WeMe and Love Love Recs. Still, I'm missing my old not-so-quick-and-fluent buddy boy Rephlex...
  12. Yeah, must confess, I envy you ae fans for the immense amount of stuff you're getting atm (or have been getting within the last two years or so). In general I tend to appreciate quality before quantity but for me the SC dump proved Rich could deliver and that's why I'm crying and bleeding here for those damn tape trax. But I'll mark your words Spiral. Maybe next week
  13. edit edit: no embed? ok Shit, that whitey, castrated money lover might have a case after all. message is still valid though. We need teh trax. Soon right?
  14. Since I'm such a nice dude I can hijack the whole thread. Tape noise + industrial=quite dope (especially from 22:39 ->) Yes, the Killian Youtube channel keeps on delivering. All the lovers of early Godflesh and Swans (Filth mostly), SEKTOR 304 might be worth to check out pronto, although staying still on the noisier side: I definitely you on the “supergroup” thing. However, Gub is about as genuinely experimental as supergroups can be. That album and Fook are my faves (though I can see how Fook might not hold up as well with age. Almost everything after that was pretty lame). Stumbled on this when I was checking my hands down favorite YT channel for live gigs and thought you would possibly like it too. Quality Godflesh live shows on that channel too! Well, isn't that a mighty fine guideline for all of us
  15. Found this via Reddit. The whole channel is wicked. Tip my hat for the effort put to audio & visual presentation. Not just a song with album art. Well suitable for home listening Kånde channel full with similar stuff: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9pQGeWEtbZr9kN-x066GgA
  16. Hey, since you liked Plasticity maybe this classic is worth to check out too: Or listen to the whole Buried Dreams album. "Funny" anecdote; it seems it was Jeffrey Dahmer's favorite album, and the legend goes that he was actually listening to it when the cops came in. So be warned, this shit is dangerous : ffs I remember I tried to get a decent copy for a good price years ago and it's now even more rare with even more salty price. And of course no official digidigis
  17. Don't have much more info yet so I'm posting this big ass picture instead. Apparently pre-orders will be up before the end of January. More info on Suction FB: https://www.facebook.com/suctionrecords/ Keep your eyes peeled with Bandcamp: https://rx-101.bandcamp.com/ I guess Jason will hit us with more up-to-date info
  18. Thanks for the recommendation. That Killian account has loads of great stuff. Found it a couple of years ago when tried to search some similar bands to Godflesh. Very cool channel. Godflesh is such a behemoth that it would deserve a thread of its own Anyone else seen Industrial Soundtrack For Urban Decay document? They released a bunch of guest mixes/mixtapes by people in the scene including JK Broadrick, Cabaret Voltaire, Scanner, Test Dept etc etc. They're all here: https://www.industrialsoundtrack.com/mixtapes/ All good mixes, but for those who are longing to get themselves into more orthodox industrial I heavily recommend the mix by Orphx. It covers pretty much everything from the early days to more recent Rhythmic noise stuff mixed together with skill. Track list should say enough The document itself was OK I guess. Somehow left the feeling they wasted some potential especially when considering they had interviewed pretty much everyone who was essential to the scene. Ravelec and co. had made previously a good doc of Berlin and Paris Techno scene which is way better. Has Adam X, Regis, Kareem, Ancient Methods plus more. It's actually available through the Urban Decay shop: https://www.industrialsoundtrack.com/shop/#!/DVD-Paris-Berlin-20-Years-Of-Underground-Techno/p/46965452/category=0 lol, I just realized this was actually a personal recommendation thread for darreichungsform instead of some general recommendation thread. Sorry, this is the last shit post, I swear
  19. It's the curse of post 2000 EBM....but fucking this: damn from 1:08 onwards
  20. I waaaaaant my tape tracks...sob sob....wheeeeereeee are the tape tracks???? please
  21. Especially Prophecy from Implode is good. Yet, the late 90's stuff can't beat the stuff from Leeb and Fulber duo. Funnily enough I can't stand TNI. Has some good songs, but there are better versions of them on Live Wired (wtf, no DVD/ Blu-ray release still). In general, imo the biggest strength of FLA is that the songs are very well balanced, possibly thanks to Greg Reely. Neither synths, samples or guitars jump to your face. In example, look at Velvet Acid Christ. God, the thousand or so samples from Se7en on Phucking Phreak makes me want to shove pencils to my ears. Found my Haujobb discs as well. Find their discography quite (or maybe too) varied; every album seems to be more or less different from the previous one. Like, there's a big leap from early (serious) FLA mimicking of Homes & Gardens to ambient of Ninetynine to the more Drum'n Bass influenced Polarity. Myer's voice isn't really the strongest element of their stuff. Heard a few times TKK mentioned, but never bothered to check them out. Tried Pigface which sounded too much like what it was - a super group. Little similar to Revolting Cocks. Coil had their moments, although I did find them too "cult" or something. Ministry, Skinny Puppy and KMFDM were the groups I was more into. Too Dark Park and Angst were stellar. Now thinking of it, I think I really underrated Xtort. But anything by KMFDM after Symbols is just shit. Not even going to type imo, because they really are. Other names I remember mentioned frequently were Cubanate (iirc someone mentioned them earlier here too) and Clock DVA.....and :wumpscut:
