The new Fever Ray album is out and i absolutely adore it! There is a new Seven Fields of Aphelion record out today on Rad Cult. This is some of my absolute favorite modern ambient music. This is her second LP. She is also known as a member of Black Moth Super Rainbow.

I have been listening to this for an hour straight. It reminds me of some of the earlier work she did as half of The Knife. It's a little more upbeat and has the dark sense of humor that has been absent from their recent output.

I'm pretty sure that the "new" tags on the Tuss tracks were due to the fact that this release was not available digitally through Bleep until now.

Weird, so this seems to be a fan made music blog using the old Rephlex domain? It does a terrible job of expressing that though, and using Rephlex seems shady. Unless they start trying to get information, sell stuff or ask for donations maybe there isn't anything too sinister happening? Still, something about it bothers me, and it's not just the terrible layout and content.

In the right frame of mind (usually involving being tired) i enjoy the modular tracks. Most of the time i have absolutely no interest in listening to them though. Making that kind of noise is always more fun than listening to it. I'm not always in the mood for SAW II either but could always appreciate it unless i desperately need to listen to something fast. I think SAW II is far more musical.

Probably not, the Aphex store is coming up with a 404 right now too.

I am so ready for this to happen right now, please. I know this site has gone down loads of times, but does anyone know how often it is a 404 error? Edit: Autechre webstore is coming up 404 too so this probably means nothing.

I have scrolled back a few pages and i'm surprised i don't see Qebrus mentioned here!!! I think he is a genius.

I use AKG K240 MKII for recording and listening to high quality tunes at home. I find them great for everything other than recording vocals because they are semi open and bleed sound. They are the most comfortable headphones with the most neutral natural sound from my experience. For walking around i use Song MDR ZX-310 which has really fantastic sound for a $25 pair of headphones. I have been using this style of Sony for a long time and always found them easy to break until the 310 model.

Hello there! My MPC stopped functioning so i have dipped my toe in to making percussion on software. On this track I am using an FM drum synth called 'Ephemere' by Inear display. The live synths are from my MS-20 mini with a dash of Moog Sub 37 and Volcakey/beats. The effects are mostly Inear display VST's like 'Amalgame' and 'Gorgon'. Everything was either sequenced on a Beatstep Pro or played live. I'd love to get some feedback on this one!

I can see where you are coming from. After repeated listens i really like all the new singles other than 'Lens'. I think 'Lens' could be phenomenal but there is some heavy autotune on the main vocal that ruins it for me. I think it sounds beautiful live with a clean vocal. I absolutely adore 'Biking (solo)' as much as anything he has done. The way he writes is really fascinating to me, i still pick up things in the lyrics i didn't notice the first 30 times i heard it. To be fair i tend to be really dense when it comes to lyrics but i think he has some especially clever ways of expressing himself that could be easily missed or misinterpreted.

It's funny, i was actually playing Rushup Edge on loop today on a boombox at work. It was at exactly the same time i was missing my last chance to own it on vinyl for a reasonable price. The janitor was really feeling it and we had a little chat about it.

If anyone picked up the Tuss vinyl on a whim and has an old used copy lying around, i'd be happy to pay for your shiny new copies in exchange for your old one's! I just want to cherish it.

Does anyone think Richard would actually care if this leaked? I imagine he would anticipate it as an inevitability. I couldn't imagine him having strong feeling about it.

Realistic fakes of this are going around now with the legit released modular tracks mixed with tracks from some noise metal band :( Nobody have your heartbroken like i just did.

I'm contemplating getting an OT vs DT and i'm not totally sure what you mean by scenes and "thru machines". I have never used an Elektron before and i know very little music terminology. I see the old OT going around $900 right now but by the time i have the $ those might be all gone. Any chance you can clarify what these differences would mean to me?
