  1. COVID-19 was the leading cause of death among police officers in 2021, report says https://www.cbsnews.com/news/covid-19-police-officer-cause-of-deaths-2021/
  2. posted a link to previous page where steve inskeep adds more context to the interview. trump is such a bitch. it's amazing people keep eating up his garbage. he says the same 3 or 4 phrases about everything. "like you've never seen before" and "waht they're finding" and shit like that.. also, i hate myself for being distracted by politics and the world in general. meanwhile.. lols..
  3. the comment section for this video... wtf
  4. lols.. this is great.. so, NPR (national public radio) here in USA finally gets an interview w/trump. Steve Inskeep has been around forever and is no slouch. trump hangs up on him after he gets pressed about 2020 election results and trump's lies. https://www.npr.org/2022/01/12/1072204478/donald-trump-npr-interview-presidential-election-lies-vaccines you can listen to the interview from this page and he puts it all in context before he gets to trump.
  5. probably a lot higher since at home tests don't get reported edit: also
  6. nah.. i mean on social media or even just any kind of constant output of real information about all the things. MSNBC and all those shows like rachel maddow are just more talking heads.. sure sometimes they have a good breakdown of some event and what it might mean but they're largely speaking to the choir. i guess it'd take a little brainstorming and i know since there's a democrat in office he's supposed to be speaking for the party or whatever.. his message is supposed to be the message and all that but seems like some other kind of tact to address the changing situation.. "modern problems require modern solutions" - meme. i don't think another group of loudmouths shouting from the other side is the problem solver. it'd have to be something smarter than that of course and it doesn't seem like the DNC or the democrats or whoever.. have any kind of message that can resonate w/people. i guess this is typical midterm election lull but in general it seems like there is nothing to counter the waves upon waves of crazy that seem to keep bubbling up. also i know that's how it can look from inside the internet/media bubble but white nationalism and fascism and violent organized people seem to be ascendant. the leaders on the left fail to rise to the moment in these cases time and time again.. one "tough speech" from joe biden isn't going to do dick.
  7. it's beyond stupid that the DNC doesn't have it's own wing of internet turds and media types combating misinfo and disinfo. there's only a few who are savy enough to roll out the 'sick burns' and 'clever comebacks' on social media. but maybe i'm not paying attention (who can it's all fuckn weaponized farts for the brain.
  8. it's hard to know what to say to someone who doesn't want to talk to you
  9. the 80s/90s really turned things upside down. once the evangelicals started getting into politics and culture wars were kicked off the division really ramped up. newt gingrich sucks hard. all those reagan era fucks sucked hard. moreal majority.. sucked hard. heritage foundation.. sucks hard.
  10. all this stuff is more experimental than 'IDM' but... sarah belle reid. no idea how her sounds compare to the artists you mention but i think she's great. augmented trumpet + modular synths + max/msp. the album she put out a couple years ago is a good listen. there's more on her bandcamp that i haven't checked out yet. https://www.instagram.com/sarahbellereid/ also lea bertucci and Greie-Ripatti
  11. wow.. i hope Dr. Grande's first name is Richard. imagine going through life as Dick Grande. amazing.
  12. people are doing baths in that silver shit.. also baths in borax...

    draft 7.30

i love draft. no complaints here. to me it has a digital hiphop vibe. i like the way it sounds particularly because there isn't another autechre record that sounds the way it does. i think it's the heavy use of the akai Z8000 over adat so it stays digital all the time or something.. idk. i know there's lot's of analog stuff but there's stuff on it that just cuts through in this splintered digital slap that i love. it's also just mutant weird. i confess i don't concern myself w/ranking releases as i find it tiresome and have been obsessed w/every release at one time or another so just follow my mood. in some way they all stand alone or something. shrug.
  17. lols. minor hit piece. build a fuckn train already.
  18. honestly wouldn't trade growing up in miami in the 70s/80s and early 90s. was pretty awesome when it was still a backwater town too far south for anyone to give a fuck about. then the cocaine money happened and south beach and then by 95 i'd had enough... it was turning into a very different place then. but i still have a love/hate relationship w/it.
