    one of my fav developers name dropped me neat the end of this podcast. http://artmusictech.libsyn.com/podcast-209-michael-hetrick one of my fav podcasts as well. i know it's a small trivial thing but today when i feel like hammered shit it was nice. also, i farted. it was risky because borderline shart territory but it turned out just fine and seems was gas that was deep in my spine somehow. i'm sleep deprived and jet lagged and in 3-7 on the back pain scale of pain but pulling through and looking forward to wandering through the grocery store in some kind of aimless zombie funk.

    except California at every freeway exit in the state where there's a light or stop sign or whatever.. you look out the window and there's a pile of cigarette butts ankle deep. where I-8 ends in ocean beach san diego it's like the triangle median is made of cigarette butts. sleep deprivation is just as psychoactive as low dose LSD. especially if have rugs w/lot's of patterns.

    dec 26th my back spasm'd pretty hard. was laid out for a while when i was in miami for xmas fam visit. then had b-day dinner on the 27th which was good but painful.. then had to fly cross country back to pdx the 28th. got in last night 6pm ish. so glad to be home. but haven't slept well since xmas because my back. have to change positions every several minutes or so and hope to doze off for an hour here or there.. then last night same thing.. little sleep. and jet lagged. now at work so sleep deprived and tired from holiday ritual travel that i want to lay on the rug in the middle of the room and nap just to make the day go faster but won't happen obviously. i'm walking around like a zombie because back makes me wobble some. good riddance 2017. back pain sucks the donkey balls.

    america is huge. i live on one coast and my fam lives on the other. it takes a whole day on a plane (s) to visit.

    cast iron is the shit! for so many things.. that good scald on potatoes... eggs, stir fry.. fucking pancakes... screw that non stick stuff. i don't want to be in the next erin brokavich movie for cancer in the water. hexavalent chromium it's what' kids need. that's what dupont tefal, teflon and all those non stick chemicals are.. and they chip and stuff. fuck that. a good cast iron pan will last for generations. and they season up so well. dupont is currently dealing w/court cases for stuff in the water from non stick pans.. that shit breaks down on the pan eventually and you eat it.. all you get from cooking w/cast iron is a bit of iron in your food and it's good for you.

    I don't know if this is a rethorical question or if you're really curious but the shooter was found not guilty. The one shouting quit the force and moved to the Philippines where he's probably currently doing very bad things to children. oh really.. the cop split and went to the islands? nuts.. he did get doxxed like immediately. so he was in for a long period of dealing w/shit.

    yeah aca is fucking abysmal. and of course he also gets a tax penalty for not being able to afford $500 a month for insurance because why the fuck not? luckily my wife's employer is footing the bill for our insurance in 2018. was paying $800/mo for the two of us in 2017 and it was on deck to go up to $1k/mo in 2018. of course it's going to come out of her annual bonus but i think we're making more in the long run. fuck.. it varies by state too. it's incomplete as it is.. they didn't fund the thing properly and didn't make necessary changes because omg obama did it. it's weird.. 1st year of ACA my insurance w/o subsidy was $299 a month. deductible was $100!!! max out of pocket for a year was $1500. it was fucking great insurance. 2017 - $350 a month w/a $100 subsidy so i pay $250 but my deductible is $4500 and max out of pocket for 1 year is $6500 so of course i had 3 ER visits and all kinds of health bullshit this year so met my out of pocket expenses.. wtf!!! 2017 can eat a dick. signed up for 2018 - $379 a month minus a subsidy i get so i pay $299 a month. deductible is $2500 and max out of pocket for a year is $2500 so overall it's a better plan for a little more money.. but it's all wtf.. could be so much better/simpler/cheaper but those bombs and bullets and tanks and planes for bombing won't pay for themselves.
