Fucking this, it's absolutely an amazing ride (and a very long one as well haha). Absolutely thrilling, I hardly bingewatch but this oh my. Such nice art, so energetic, so original in some ways. Perhaps the greatest animated series I've ever seen. Absolutely top tier:NGE, Steins;Gate , Cowboy Beebop, FMA:B (only non-IDM pick in the list) Also fun: Prison School (stupid but hilarious), Attack On Titan (normie but worth it) To avoid at all costs: Elfen Lied, Mirai Nikki Never understood any of the love for Elfen Lied. I can find reasons someone might like Mirai Nikki if I try really really hard, but I couldn't force myself through the second half of Elfen Lied.. just got way too stupid. Also, Samurai Champloo is great as well and is from the same director as Cowboy Bebop. Totally, it was one of the anime that I always remembered as being hyped to death back when it was released and I spent my youthful days on Yu-Gi-Oh! forums (haha) but it took me 12 years to finally take the time and watch it and man oh man what a bad show. The art looks like some kid's drawings on DeviantArt, unnecessary nudity, ''gore'' (ahem... although the bar has been raised in the past years on that front) in an attempt to be edgy, loose ends like crazy and a cringeworthy bad story. Plus a super pretentious opening theme for such a shit show. Only the opening scene was pretty bad ass I have to admit. Samurai Champloo is on my list!

dear lord.. The late 80s Belgian new beat is a very weird genre.. Lol my mom knows the lead 'singer' Even came and visited me in the hospital when my mom gave birth to me. Became a total nutcase not too long after, spent several years in an insane asylum. Wish I could meet him though, looks like an interesting story (but him and my mom haven't spoken for 20+ years so no chance)

Gave it my first listen and have to say that it's really taking me down a musical journey. Been a while since I felt this way about an album. More convinced about the second half of the album though, first part didn't really do it for me.

Saw it yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Touched much more on the ''philosophical'' aspects than the original, but lacked the Neo Tokyo aesthetics a bit. That is not to say that is wasn't beautiful, because it was - I was just praying for a full-blown live action of Akira ft. Harrison Ford.
