  1. this seems odd, though. would any other label have the rights to release a compilation like this though? most likely not. warp could have issued an injunction stopping the whole thing. that is unless this other label was just going to put out a white label/bootleg kind of thing. I just don't understand warp's mad scramble and panic to get this out by any means necessary before some other label put out something they had no rights to in the first place (unless they weren't going to credit it to "Aphex Twin", but there would still be an issue.) and yes, the thing about the songs being issued exclusively in japan is relevant. it's a copyright thing. they are national protections, so for the same reason you'll find uploads on youtube of 'stone in focus' and 'hankie' from SAW2, but many of the other tracks from the same album get taken down through a copyright claim. these songs were never released in the united states, so the since there's no american copyright on them, no one seems to mind them being uploaded.
  2. you find it hard to believe?! lol stranger things have happened. it's true.
  3. that's what you feared, right? Indeed. There's still about a month to go, so Odeon could make room for 2D showings, I suppose. But it's not a good sign that their website lists 3D and 3D IMAX showings and doesn't make a single mention about any 2D showings. I swear to fucking god, if there's no decent cinema showing a 2D viewing of Prometheus, I'll be publicly pirating the fuck out of this film. Any time, any place.
  4. Now thats a trailer. It doesnt tell you fuck all about the story apart from that its in space and its scary as hell. i have said before in this thread, and i'll say it again. this original trailer for the original Alien film is, in my opinion, the best trailer ever made.
  5. digital haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrddddddddddddddddddddccccccccccccccccccoooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre
  6. So there were more same ships, and there were more Space Jockeys, and they all had alien eggs on board... I'm still not sure this is any better.... don't watch it then?
  7. Fishing to see if he has acid for blood! LOL at the "your hammer would break" comment If this isnt official, someone is spending an awful lot of time coming up with pretty robust answers so far Going by that underlined answer, I'd guess it's not official. That answer seems like someone trolling.
  8. hey lad the reverse side of your geogaddi poster, is it white or blue speckly white? lol just curious if its same as mine. it looks like A2 size, bit bigger i think. ta My poster does have the blue speckles, and it is A2 size.

Music 'fans' that need vocals, are not music fans. they're 'customers' of 'product' that is to be 'marketed' to them. Sorry, had to say something there...I get sick and tired of people claiming that the music I listen to isn't music because "where are the words?"
  10. Over priced, poorly projected almost everwhere (it requires brighter (and thus more expensive which most cinemas don't want to shell out for) bulbs to get the same quality exposure as a 2D film) and for some people (myself included) the 3d effect doesn't actually work at all. On top of that, it can give you headaches. Especially if you already wear glasses.
  11. http://youtu.be/Ua5smxPXy8E Cool idea. But still doesn't magically cut the price of the ticket, which is a major gripe of mine. While I understand your point of 'progress', 3D stuff gives me headaches. sadly those with poor eyesight tend to suffer more from this i.e. if you have wear glasses for everyday use the perspective your brain is used too with be different from what the 3D cinema will force on you hence your eyes will strain more to compensate to how you normally see things. You cant please all of the people all of the time and Im sure there will b plenty of 2D showings too especially as this will be 'the' film of the summer (shoot me Marvel) Yep, being someone that has to wear glasses all the time, it really fucks with my eyes. As for it being shown in 2D, I dunno man.... TRON Legacy wasn't shown in 2D at all around here...not even in Liverpool. Only 3D showings. and that was a pretty 'big' film. I can easily foresee the cinemas only having 3D showings so as to rape people's wallets. ok i was talking to some dude last night who told me if you get two sets of 3d glasses and swap the lenses around you can achieve a 2d picture but with around 20% colour loss. Food for thought if they arent showing 2d versions but either way you get your wallet raped. It costs cinemas no more money to show a 3D than a regular 2D film dont cha know!? I'm not paying 3D prices to watch the film in 2D with glasses on top of my current glasses (uncomfortable for one) to get a 20% loss of colour. And yeah, I know it doesn't cost the cinemas any extra to show a 2D film, they just love to rape people's wallets
