  1. and if you just use an jack - to - rca cable, this will work ok , doesn't it ? anyway I found out that pioneer mixers are ok if you use digital pioneer player with it, but when you feed it with a pair of MKII or a synth or whatever, it's no good . the DA input converters are too crisp and too trebbly IMO. allen & heath dj mixers do a much better job for hybrid dj / live setups. (IMO again) especially the ones wich have a full analogue signal path.
  2. yes, I should have guessed indeed, because I realised " ca vous faut une belle jambe " translated in "it gives you a nice leg" but this means nothing in english. a real human traduction would say "you just don't care about it" anyway , nevermind, as soon as it works for what you have to say in there. cheers.
  3. @splesh yeah man. I bump it twice with a couple of tracks (tracks I've been putting in a dj mix at pretty high volume a few days ago and that was just like yeeeaahh)
  4. either the google traduction is pretty accurate, or it's you making a joke and didn't used google translate at all. .... though ,i don't get the "long live the fresh ham" thing ?
  5. Hey this is really very nice !!! my beloved local alternative radio is even listed in there @yekker good find ! thanks -- very interesting in many ways
  6. haha ! sure. that's exactly what happened to me when I ordered "modern rave + rave hop + presents : amen andrew" the 12"s arrived in my metal mailbox while I was away for a few days. weather was really hot . I went : oh shit they gonna be melted ! fortunately, they were just very slightly deformed, but allright. didn't alter the sound. the fact that they were pakaged in thick cardboard + bubble wrap saved it from total carnage I guess. still, have to be carefull with orders in hot summer
  7. I never met S & R myself , but I went to an Ae show in france with friends, one of them worked at a local radio (very very small local radio), he asked Sean and Rob for an interview before the show, they said "yes okay !" I did'nt go backstage with him but according to my friend they where very nice dudes. they rolled a spliff and shared it with him during the interview. This was the untilted tour, 25 april 2005, city : Reims, venue : "la cartonnerie". very good sound system and acoustics. Great AE liveset. Rob Hall and SND were playing also.
  8. holy shit , all this stuff this is so fun
  9. about those quaristice tracks : not shure if it was 100% renoise... It could be renoise along with a bunch of third party vst stuff or along with the elektrons... can't understand his english flow well enough sometimes
  10. yeah I spotted that too. it got me in wanting to test this software. now trying the demo version.
  11. oh... yeah right thanks. I did not have my records nextby at this moment, so I checked out "second scepe " on youtube but it was mislabelled.
  12. Someone asked "what is the vocal sample being chopped up in Second Scepe ?" awnser : "I'm not telling" ...well I can't hear a vocal sample at all in Second Scepe. did I misunderstood the song title or what ?
  13. can't find out if this tax applies for artists selling from these countries, or for buyers from these countries. in anyway, it seem not fair. but international web economic buisness and laws is something I know nothing about.
  14. Interesting. let's see if it sound as good and have a decent lifetime. and if the laquer can be cutted with the same technology or if new equipement will be requested. (cant' find more info )
  15. The Poborsk set is great. I have a lot of his stuff, and it seems to me that this was all new and/or unreleased stuff
  16. yes, ...and, if I unsterstood correctly, also because for the remix they needed something that have a timeline behaviour, because their system don't.
  17. right, but so with the aira MX1 wich connects tu usb directly with other aira devices, you could send anything into it, aim i right ? ... well, this only if all your MX1 usb ports are not busy so you can fit one more.... anyway I would like to try this because : yeah I like the scatter effect on MX1 / TR9, very handfull. (TR9 "roll button" page combined with scatter fx gives you very nice and quick -acsess rythm variations / breaks fills - perfect for a live situation. )
  18. ... and new stuff yeah ? thinking : about using the room acoustics as a whole instrulent : i remember sean once said (AAA thread) something like : "yeah we have some recording of 2010 liveset that our f.o.h. tech did at the time, but he recorded a blend of the desk output and room mics, so we can't use it for a release" but I personally think this would be the best thing to do for a liveset release, to mix proper desk output with a bit of room mics, so you have best of both worlds : the precision and tightness and details from the "dry" desk output, combined with the ambience and reverb / sustain that the venue acoustics brings to the thing. AAA thread also, he said something like : "2010 set was all dry (no reverb) nord drum stuff , because the venue / room will bring this reverb, so we just compose with how the room sounds like. (well, even if "edit - Rob has some reverb in the G2" he said) So yeah I thing it would be cool to make a live rec with this blend of desk out and room mics (high end ones, in the right place) (...though you'll have all those "wash your hands " , " tri reepetaaaeee" , "whhhoooaaah yaaaarrggh " , and "what is this plinky pong let's get out of here" casual crowd bits in it
  19. well, this sounds not at all like "tapr" to me ? anyway, I finally have time to listen a bit to the set - firt thing noticed is how every different bootlegs brings differents details to it (probably due to 1- gear used to record and how the mic was oriented and 2- where the recorder was in the room) had first listen yesterday from one recording - not lot of details, + me being really tired so felt asleep on it after ten minutes . but now having a listening from another rec wich have more clarity - and I'm awake - so I can have more insights : it's gooooood. so dense. you can feel some of sign / plus + nts + esleq base patch , all morphed in and out into a spooky scenario. very cool. ghostly. huge. breathtaking. .... (I can feel this despite the basic pirate-mic rec quality context). I love how you can hear that they seem of sort of use the venue's acoutsics response and dig into it. to me, obvioulsy they does. anyway thanks guys for all those recs & uploads & sharing / reposting.
  20. well, had a listen, I prefer the original a lot more than the 2022 version. yeah the 12" is way too expensive for what you get. but then yeah the youtube upload is nice. new merch : you can buy underworld socks lol . next : underworld underwear ?
