I've not read a crime book for years, maybe Gun Machine by Warren Ellis was the last one which started well but had an awful ending, is The Hunter the best place to start with him?

The Conjuring 2 - Fun, would have been more fun if it wasn't over two hours long. I thought the most unbelievable aspect of this film was the house having a massive basement, but I've just seen the nun wasn't played by Marilyn Manson. I was finding the beginning creepy until I realised who it was and laughed at the ridiculous stunt casting, but it's not even him, it's like the evil spirit in Sinister being the guitarist from Slipknot but not, why does this keep happening?

I didn't but I am still intrigued what there is to enjoy, I don't wish to sound like a dick. I have such a low bar when it comes to films, I'd watch any old bollocks, but I couldn't make it past the halfway point. I really like the idea but their laughs were so irritating and it was so very, very dull. Grating laugh, shagging a bin, repeat, repeat etc. i've the ravenous appetite for drooly-smelly-grotesque-old-people-non-sequitur-wheelchair-trash-humpy, so, needless to say i was very pleased. i'm quite easily satisfied by a wide range of visual media; including many things you would not expect. the flim could be looked at as being dull yes. i found it to be charmingly dull.. Haha, I can't argue with that, and I am intrigued by these satisfying things I would not expect.

Trash Humpers?! How? I thought that was the film equivalent of rubbing shit into your eyes.

Valerie and Her Week of Wonders - My fear of the polecat in this movie is only surpassed by my fear that the police will barge down my door after watching something with so much underage nudity in it. It's in the Criterion Collection, how was I to know?

Only a few chapters in and the author has spent a lot of time fawning over Lorna Byrne, who I had always assumed was talking bollocks, but we shall see.

Quite a lot of Korean films have what seems to be mad tone/genre shifts throughout, been meaning to watch that for awhile and loved The Witch so think our tastes may differ. Something Wicked This Way Comes - During Disney's attempt at attracting an older audience, Jonathan Pryce looking awesome as fuck in a sweet suit, Pam Greer, a creepy carnival, I really enjoyed this one.

Ah yes, remember hearing about this awhile ago but never got around to it so will do this evening, thanks. October is on the way and horror will dominate the month. This wasn't supernatural at all! But quite good, and enjoyable enough that when the stupid bits happened at the end I wasn't too angry.

Anyone got any good recommendations for a supernatural horror I may not have seen yet? Lake Mungo, The Borderlands, The Taking of Deborah Logan, something like that?

Ross Noble Skip to ten minutes in or so, but if you aren't from the UK you might not get a lot of references or what the fuck he says.

If I didn't know Michael Owen spent his formative years playing football rather than developing a personality I'd be convinced he was a robot. He doesn't like music, films, and his attempts at humour are so badly-judged and weird.

The Boy - I should have seen the end coming but didn't, I actually enjoyed this a fair bit. Creepy dolls are creepy. Bishop Brennan getting kicked up the arse would have improved it but then just seeing him was a pleasure.

hehe innit. I'm in one of London's prisons so it's not that great, it's filthy and cockroach ridden. Also you're here at night mainly to make sure they don't kill themselves or kill each other. Ha, I've been considering getting into funeral planning so this sounds quite cheery.
