Don't think they'll pick up on it, haven't heard back from CoS, FM, RA or the Wire. Only had Oor do a very small report on it. I assume I did something wrong in the way I described it or in trying to contact them (I used either an email adress, facebook message or a contact box for press releases, or a combination), although just not having a name doesn't help, as tips from for example Robin Rimbaud are usually posted within the hour on FM. If anyone could tackle this it would be Joyrex or Aphex himself I guess...

Except for a tiny link without explanation in the profile description of his account there isn't any publicity (save for watmm). Not my favourite thing to say, but it could be a good idea to notify RA, Fact Mag, etc. Aphex himself could post it on his facebook or twitter but hasn't so far, maybe he just want the """diehard""" fans to vote? Maybe somebody on this forum could write a good article regarding the dump and submit it to one of these guys. So far what has been written regarding the soundcloud release has been misleading and messy at best. If you don't follow this forum or the reddit thread, you really are getting mixed messages about whether it has been taken down, the legitimacy etc etc. With some good journalism and pointing the right direction, maybe the voting would explode. Just did. Trying to think of other relevant online magazines now.

Because it's an exceptionally good track and the more it is denied an official release the more people want it (the chase is better than the catch?). It has been around for so long that it's probably a nostalgia thing too.

The ones uploaded are in my post above and were numbered #2 - #8. We know from Retrig that were was a testpressing (a mate of his apparently has it), and I assumed that was one 12" so that matches up to about 8 tracks, but maybe there are more on it. Like Chalybs said, track 11 was a collab with Cylob so has to ask permission for that one first, but well... that whole ordeal... complicates things a bit probably. Then we have track 10, which Aphex said the following about: "that was only a 1st amen tryout, there is a finished version somewhere". More importantly, track 12 is the only one that isn't talked about. And coincidentally it sounds very Melodies From Mars-ish (to me at least)... So maybe! I was thinking the same about it being ripped from an ABB6 DAT, but there's only four tracks of it, maybe five (Fresher + Cleaner seems like a good bet, although that's more Caustic Window imo). Besides that there is the claim that ABB6 was just one 12", based on the testpressing that Retrig talked about so my guess is that the first track is the only track missing now and ABB6 was compiled after that incident.

Strange Li Nightwind Records is up and running, another album announced... Very cool news that Dark Days is getting a repress, I never gave those two albums a lot of attention but some of my favourite Legowelt tracks are on there (Airplanes in the Rain, Furniture, Decay Dream, Lake Distrax...).
