  1. Ex Machina - Was it me or was this movie just a tad too predictable? Too much obvious plot device lines, too little depth. Some good ideas about AI though, but could've been dived into a bit more. Musically (a bit), storywise (a bit) but mostly visually really akin to Beyond the Black Rainbow, which had a far greater impact on me in every way. Still a great watch, stunning visuals and a top soundtrack but I think I was expecting too much from it. 7/10
  2. I honestly thought it was going to be a new alias for Legowelt. Thanks for that, gonna look that up :) Oh, yes!
  3. Same here :) I'd love Japan to be released properly again. Twas more of a tactical voting question, if they will be excluded anyway (because of business issues maybe too?) it would be a waste of a vote.
  4. Sweet, thanks for 10 more :)! Has there been any word on what to do with tracks like Japan / Space Beat / Symbonsad and Phlid in the voting list considering they are already released?
  5. Sweeet, thanks for the heads up! Sounds amazing so far actually... And mastered by Rude 66 too (another mark of quality).
  6. ripped Ha, that was me who posted that. Someone posted that version on watmm a few months ago - just like the initial rip consisting of .wav's for the 33rpm and 45rpm version. No response from the 'Phex yet though, was curious if he thought it was anything resembling what he had in mind.
  7. ^ That Orgue track was my 'track of the year' 2013, still sounds just as fresh. Never been a huge fan of Disco Rout myself, probably bc I picked up on it way after stumbling on his music. Talking about that Seaside Houz Boys track, the EP was just released: The seaside houz boys return with a hot new vinyl EP Four imbecile level mistical club bangers On Hot Haus Records *** In full effect! *** Garantueed to have been produced on cheap crap digital stuff that nobody wants for authentic flavour If that's the artwork it's worth buying just for that + the track above, the other tracks don't do much for me yet.
  8. Nice one, was looking for that! Also, description to SallyVingoe I didn't see before, so it might be jazzband / Chris Cunningham Beef: 1989ish this track always reminds me of driving around cornwall wiv me friends at night, especially driving to the Bowgie club from Lanner, was so lush going to an amazing club on loads of country lanes, to a club on the cliffs by an awesome beach, lucky we were. My fave way to listen to music, in a car at night with mates, hoofing around cornish lanes with a J, especially when they are high cornish hedges on both sides.
  9. WHAT HAVE I DONE! Well, same source, other sites, just for posterity: http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/05/the-new-season-of-twin-peaks-will-be-twice-as-many-episodes/ “Yes. Those were the major reveals,” someone close to the organization of the convention confirmed in a message to Welcome to Twin Peaks. “They didn’t seem to know much past that,” he added. I was looking for that one, thanks! Didn't know Lynch himself did that, although I'm not suprised.
  10. Lost Highway - After having being told of some elements (spoilers) in this movie I thought I had this completely figured out in the first 30 minutes. I was wrong. Completely overwhelmed and taken into the world of Lynch yet again. Incredible.
  11. Updates: - The third season will consist of 18 (!) episodes instead of the planned 9. - The Double R Diner / Twede's Cafe will be restored to its original look. - Angelo Badelamenti will do new music for the show. http://www.factmag.com/2015/05/24/angelo-badalamenti-to-score-twin-peaks-reboot/
  12. Well, moved it back to the Aphex forum since there's still no consensus :) I assumed his statements were sufficient enough for everyone (it's all we have imo), not trying to force my pov upon it.
  13. The 16 y.o. kid from Spain was obviously bullshit, just Grant having fun with writing fake bio's like he has done from day one (remember, Rephlex was all Grant for the last 10+ years too). Photodementia, The Tuss, Bradley Strider, Universal Indicator, Astrobotnia (remember the "a new Rephlex signing, one "Kristian Richards"'), EDM, probably more. Imo, he was always the one trying to blur the lines between the known artists and newer artists, so they would be judged on what actually matters: the music (like he said in an interview regarding the Tuss). Afaik, Aphex has never denied being the Tuss (he has admitted to being him back in 2008ish already) or any other alias. He also has admitted to being every other alias on soundcloud now, but has denied Steinvord this time of it being Tom or him. Since the Syro interviews and the comments now he has been incredibly open and honest, which makes his statements now more credible than ever, especially compared to his 90's interview persona. There is no real evidence at all it is Aphex or Tom (the musical clues obviously haven't been convincing enough, otherwise there wouldn't be years and years of speculation). There is however evidence that they aren't, because of the above statements by Aphex. Logically, it is not Aphex until proven different (not the other way around).
  14. Done, votes still show up :) Thanks xf and the others for the great work!
  15. The boss doing a Fireside Chat http://www.rbmaradio.com/shows/i-f-fireside-chat
  16. Shiiieet, this one is really funky! Great use of the sample too. Thrilled to get another 303 track, for some reason I always think he hasn't released that many 303-tracks... Sounds like it could be made yesterday btw, but I'm guessing 1998... Ish.
  17. That pretty much covers it. Only a couple of tracks had downloads enabled (still are). He also reached out to fanbase to compile the tracks for potential release, as well as letting the fanbase sorting out the tracklist for SOSW2 :)
  18. Very sad to read that bit, hope he will just ignore / delete / block those messages and the trolls and morons behind them. Only way to deal with the idiocy on the web. Massive respect for risking so much by doing all this Rich, that really takes balls as huge as three high end power macs from 1997. Nice pic :) That interview is jazzband, yes (or 'Chris Cunningham beef' these days). Track is from RDJ album :)
  19. Another mix uploaded! https://soundcloud.com/gillespetersonworldwide/luke-vibert-mix
  20. Wow, I really have some catching up to do on the reading! And compile my own SOSW2 playlist... Really, this keeps getting more awesome everyday :)
  21. I just asked AFX about this: Me Luke Vibert said in an interview that he doesn't collaborate with you anymore because you released a track that he did a bass line on without crediting him. Do you remember what track that was? user18081971 i asked him about that and he denied it, so either he was lying or journos talking crap, either way it didnt happen. Where there's a hit theres a writ ! Thanks for asking! Could also be the possiblity that the translator was maybe a bit too loose in his translation. After all, his avatar is of a young Stalin, not really a trustworthy guy... :)
  22. Yeah weird, some of his profiles also mention L.A. as his HQ though.
  23. @faceculler: ha, no it's not both of us either its an american dude, I never spoke to him, only Grant and I dont suppose he wants to reveal himself coz loads of people dont think he is himself, i like the tracks though, very nice Still might be Beatwife then... :) Also, we can finally move this to the general music forum!
  24. Fucking love this album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObzNCttGXU4
