I feel like that's one of the cheesiest parts of it. I mean hey I dont HATE the track I just don't think it's that great. I don't really like the melody seems kind of generic. The background pads are nice and I guess play on my nostalgia a bit so that's probably my favorite part. I really like that 769T07 track. That might be my favorite.

Don't know if this counts but I've been jamming it lately https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJoHMHjiAG4

New countdown, new release? [Aphex Twin Warp Store]
Bubba69 replied to Time Tourist's topic in Aphex Twin
Anyone hear any new daddy1 comments? he's been awfully silent lately since his tour? He's probably in one of his many studios making amazing tunes that'll hit our ears in seven years. -
Am I the only one that thinks that MADMA track is not very good, kind of boring? I think a good number of the tracks on this, admittedly overall incredible album, are stronger. Maybe I need to hear it not on headphones.

Even ended up being released on Rephlex! It's funny how that situation ended up.

Don't sell, that vinyl sounds fantastic -
I want to say soundcloud comment but unfortunately I cannot find anyone that archived them.....

Wow I missed that part with syro. That's cool because that's what i do now too to avoid using computers so it makes me feel more justified. I knew that Analord was recorded live into a fucking minidisc recorder. That blew my mind at first, the Syro thing is even more mindblowing. I'd like to hear more about the recording process for the tuss.

it's not that crazy considering the NEW price at the moment is 829 for the MK1 (sweetwater and guitarcenter, for example). It makes sense that used prices are going to fall, at least right now.

Ah, sorry i had to go back a page or two to see that, didn't realize pictures had already been posted. Cool! Man I just realized I need to take better care of my Tuss Vinyl. Rushup edge's price is high as fuck. Even confederation trough is expensive. I would trade for drukqs tho. The price on that got high as well. damn. -

So what does it look like? Does it have a WAP catalog number or are they leftover copies from the rephlex days? -
wow I'm jealous, I love that vermona sound!!! Those are cool man. I think I'm going to buy an analog 4, I found a used one for $600 today, prices are getting way too cheap for me to ignore. And to think I almost bought a roland SE-02!

I actually really like her mastering on syro. I didn't like it at first because I kept comparing it to the tuss, but I think it has a pretty cool sound to it. She managed to take a lot of different-sounding types of songs and make them flow together really nicely in my opinion. -

I already have my original vinyls. I would love to get my hands on drukqs. -
I personally find drukqs and SAW 2 to be his most influential and cohesive. I feel like those albums show how far you can push the art of electronic music making in different directions. A textural/melodic/ambient direction (that to this day remains some of the finest listening on this planet) to the most technical and alien drum programming and song structure and sample manipulation (that to this day remains distinct, I've never heard anything quite like it since).

yeah uh pretty sure half-life 3 is way less likely at this point.

I kind of hope nobody does rip it. Should remain elusive for 20 years like caustic window lp or something.

What!!! that's so cool. I was just admiring that mashup myself. Where is Fred? I never see him on these forums anymore. Miss that dude, super funny.

was that recorded in a room?

track 19 [side 5, track 2, omitted from CDs] ("Stone in Focus"): #22 ("Spots"): #23 ("Tassels"): #23 is one of my favorite SAW II tracks if not my favorite. Awesome to hear him talk about it. -

I'm highly doubtful of this. If it's a 303 sound, then it's probably from a real 303. I'll give you two reasons why I'm not doubtful 1. He used TWO different presets from phoscyon. 2. He released this track with pretend analog extmix 2b. Which sounds very similar production-wise and richard has himself admitted it was soft-synths. Every time I head on the internet it usually ends in disaster but here goes: There is actually an explanation of how he made the track on the aphex twin warp site by the man himself but hey don’t let that bother you! Interesting. Well there has to be a reason why that pattern is so similar. I refuse to accept it is a coincidence -
