  1. Yeah that demo is really good. Really shows how versitile the box is.
  2. EDIT: I have been building out my personal youtube jungle playlist more and more and posting some of my favorites here
  3. god damn the digitone looks awesome and I love the small form. I would get one but I already feel like I need to make better use of my beloved A4 first. When I get sick of how it sounds I might make a trade for one.
  4. watch the fucking mtv version tho, far better also going to post some of my favorites lately master class in drum programming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDxUf1zlkFc maybe these aren't proper jungle but I don't give a fuck, genres are bullshit anyways
  5. Aphex NEVER caters to expectation. I'm personally less excited about random track dumps, more excited about his new music. I like the style I heard from houston/primavera
  6. I honestly thought the whole time that somebody was archiving them. They are more or less archived in the soundcloud thread by people pasting them in comments. But still, I for some reason thought it was part of the big archive and I was mistaken to find out that it was just the track descriptions that were archived.
  7. Just played the 'unedited live' version with the 2009 Rephlex wav I had already and they're exactly the same save the file quality ('unedited live' on the Bleep store is 320 kbps mp3). Am I missing something here? Why post a retitled mp3 of an already released track and not even post the rest of the Analord 07 EP? I think Richard's intention for the Analord series is to stay analogue; might be why Chosen Lords isn't on there (although the more likely explanation is he just hasn't got around to it yet). yeah but then they got released on deh rephlex site digital. And also he recorded the mixes down to minidisc so they weren't ever totally analog. Ah, yes - you are correct! I forgot that Rephlex offered them up as digitals. Didn't know about recording them to MD - is that how he sent them to be mastered? I remember reading a soundcloud comment ( or an interview? ) that he said he recorded to analord tracks to a portable minidisc device. Unfortunately NOBODY ARCHIVED HIS SOUNDCLOUD COMMENTS.

  9. sounds really nice can't wait to hear all the full tracks.. Who handled your mastering?
  10. It wasn't even known to be Richard at first. But it was simply so good, (especially when rushup edge came out), that it was assumed to be. Then again it didn't sound quite like anything he had made, the closest being analord 10, at the time. Community was split, but most agreed that it was very good. I think there are a lot of slow burners made by unknown artists that aren't immediately great to people, but are actually very good. The ones that seem immediately amazing usually get spread pretty widely.
  11. Yeah I'm talking flagship album, like physical release that is generally available, Syro style, CCAI, etc. - been getting hyped by these unreleased live tracks.
  12. "Allow us to be your trusted partner, who will always give you a comprehensive update on the happenings in the British music scene." Well that's reassuring.... I can't wait for this section to be fleshed out http://www.rephlex.com/category/british-music/all-time-top-20/
  13. Would you have said the same thing about the Tuss, if the Tuss was called "unknown"?
  14. I remember that Rephlex extra Analord drop a few years back was quite epic, as well. dreaming of bodmins and flutternozzles.
  15. description also says it's coming soon to this page? https://aphextwin.warp.net//label/7491-cassette
  16. wtf... some of these dates are a little...... odd Aphex Twin Syro WARPCDD247 22 September 2018
  17. This is probably a shit answer but I've read that trying to match subwoofers with your monitors properly is a hell of a task if you want that the result will sound accurate. So all in all it's probably cheaper just to get new monitors that have the bass response you're looking for. But if you want to go through with it, it seems you need a crossover mixer like this (https://www.thomann.de/intl/jp/dbx_223_xs.htm?ref=search_rslt_crossover_264753_1) or some kind of hack to split the audio into 50Hz+ stereo and 50Hz- mono inside your computer or whatever is generating sound. And a subwoofer (https://www.thomann.de/intl/jp/fostex_pm_submini_2.htm). But after all that you'd need to really carefully mix and match with the setup so that your low frequencies will be more or less accurate. And looking at the prices here it seems you'd still be better off if you just got a new pair of monitors. Edit: I guess this box would do the trick too: https://www.thomann.de/intl/jp/the_box_hpf1.htm?ref=search_rslt_crossover_170808 Speaking of crossovers, I plan to get one to use as a poor man's multiband distortion/fx unit by splitting the signal up into different frequency ranges and running through fx pedals and shit and then going back into a mixer. I haven't done this yet but, I want to..... Multiband distortion is my favorite effect and being able to do it in hardware with whatever pedals I would want, saturation, overdrive, etc. and mixxing it back wet/dry in the mastering chain(or on certain tracks) would be fucking cool. I think I could get some really awesome results from it.
  18. I doubt that's legit. I so stoked about the primavera track being eventually released.
