  1. i think it's more hilarious he was the most popular republican candidate amongst hispanic voters. the guy that wants to build a wall to keep out hispanics, is most popular with them. Hispanic voters for the republican party?? That's gotta be a small number of people. Hispanics are usually conservative in their social values and the GOP are usually closer to their values in that sense. But the overt racism might make them re-think it. None of the Hispanics I know would have anything to do with Trump. Of course anecdotal evidence is not data, and the Hispanics I know live in Canada not America, but I was still surprised. I guess there is always that percentage of people who will vote against their own interests. I don't think Trump carries the Hispanic vote in a general election.
  2. it seems like he can't force it through, they're under no obligation to accept a nomination. This is true. The length of time is somewhat unprecedented I believe, but yes they are under no legal or constitutional requirement to accept it. The republican reasoning is completely specious - they claim to want to hear the American people's voice, well the American people voted Obama into office twice.
  3. Weird that they would add the extraneous word in English. Second one is from China. Still great though.

  5. Jesus that KKK sign in support of trump. I know you can't choose your supporters but fuuuuck.
  6. lol I think once Sturgeon makes it clear there's another independence referendum back on the table (which I think they'd comfortably win this time), all it would take is Cameron giving it the go ahead to scare any vacillating eurosceptics back into the fold. pretty much this.
  7. I've met you, you're well under standard 400 lbs body mass. You must be a terrist. Consider yourself reported to the TRUMPISTAS!
  8. Great great speech. You should write for Colbert. Actually if you'd written that for Bush he would have kicked Donald Trumps ass. This line pretty much sums up why America never stopped being great: When bald eagles fuck, they think of America to cum
  9. Is it cause it's not a shart that it's a FWS?
  10. Highly intriguing opener to the season - I'm guessing that the "playuh" ends up as one of Saul's clients? My man's hummer was off the chain. Also Mike is still one of the best characters ever.
  11. My small brain doesn't understand this... I'm sure he has some numerical literacy, it's just that he can't figure out how to do some very basic excel calculations to update our data based off textual analysis from the previous year. I'm like, if I can do it, any fucking monkey can do it.
  12. fucking PhD students with no numerical literacy. Fuck the fuck off.
  13. Sustainable and local agriculture and without chemicals as to protect the planet. No more livestock as its not sustainable to keep eating meat and its environmental impact are catastrophic. Clean energy and energy efficient. the pre oil society will need to change drastically to survive the climate crisis, surpopulation, ect. Energy sufficient first and foremost. equally important is efficient and sustainable food and pollution reduction/climate protection. Livestock is not efficient, its one of the most important source of pollution on the planet and its not sustainable. To make a society self-sufficient, energy sufficiency is far more important than anything to do with food and pollution reduction. The only way to make energy production environmentally cleaner is to make it a global concern. Otherwise a society can just offload the waste as an externality with no negative consequences. Since pollution doesn't respect socially constructed borders, this is a global concern. So now that you've introduced a global context for energy, then it makes sense to introduce global markets for other goods as well. Because locally produced doesn't always mean the most efficient. To bring this back to US politics - the reason a Trump/Cruz/Rubio really any fucking Republican presidency is terrifying is because it moves their rhetoric back to this idea of US exceptionalism. While the democrats might not be the angels we all want, at least they include the notion that America has to work with a broader array of partners. Of the two real choices for the Democrats, Sanders at least presents something as a policy that will reign in the free ride corporations have had in recent decades (well longer than that really, but it's become much more visible in this latest iteration of globalization).

  15. Is the western way of life the american way of life? I didn't realize that the west equaled america. I'm not sure that's what I said anyways. What do you think are the key points that make a society self-sufficient?
  16. A truly progressive party should be focused on trying to make the country like it was in the 1850s?
  17. Liked the ending sequence - hack and slash your way to freedom Ricky Ricardo! At the beginning though, what the fuck, lol Darryl fires what appears to be a normal RPG and causes a fireball that blows up 6 dudes on bikes? lol, consider my belief suspended. Also can Carol please die. Pretty please. What a miserable cunt.
  18. Speaking of movies, I assume everyone has seen "The Art of the Deal"? If not, grab a scotch, and watch this wonderful Trump biopic.
  19. Ah so it's just been illegal to commit sodomy in Michigan since 1931. It's so cold in the D.
