Just noticed: "33 johnny hawkes broken guitar..." has a very similar drum pattern as "come to daddy (little lord faulteroy mix)". Probably been observed by someone else already.

Yeah, credit where it's due: Timothyforward has a really good ear. He knew what was up right from the beginning.

I wish I had photoshopping skills to make this an Aphexbatman:

Downloading heaven! So pumped about this. If there's any more (geez), then we are freakin' SPOILED.

No way; it's a solid fucking album. "Come to dust" is like instrumental Joy Division shit to me: mystical.

HOLY FUCK, YES!!!!

Hey, credit where credit is due: at least the author acknowledged WATMM. Point, Pitchfork (over Fact).

Holy fuck--I had to work all day yesterday (basically, a double shift). Wake up to find this thread exploding, and catching up. This picture summarizes my feelings ATM. THANKS, RDJ!!!

Yeah, just listened to my vinyl copy again yesterday: that box is a lovely beast, and the tunes are killer good. It's tied as my favorite Ae release (along with LP5).

I agree. Really good album. Get Lucky was such a jam when it was released. http://on.cc.com/O4UQQU

Syro appears on NPR's top 50 albums of 2014 (in the fifth place, although this might not be a ranking): http://www.npr.org/2014/12/08/368731400/npr-musics-50-favorite-albums-of-2014

I love the album, too. Pretty much the same as Joyrex and Friendly Stranger said: "Come to Dust" and "Nothing is Real" are outstanding tracks. I'll be honest, there were some moments in "Geogaddi" that I found kinda embarrassing at first (back in 2002--I had no prior knowledge of BOC, and that was my first BOC album), such as "The Devil's in the Details" ("Orb already did the subliminal tape thing," I thought, "but without the annoying kid sound"). Over time, those moments grew on me, but the thing is, "Tomorrow's Harvest" didn't have any of those kind of moments. I like how the tracks with the samples (like "Collapse" or "Split Your Infinities") have the vocals even more distorted. Anyway, the reason why I'm writing this is because something Friendly Stranger said made me realize something: I really like "Tomorrow's Harvest", but I'm not nearly as obsessed with the band anymore. They're still one of my top bands--don't get me wrong--but it feels like this release has allowed me to move on a bit and stop wondering, for example, "What's up with BOC?!", which was a daily question for me for a long while.

Listening to "Helen" from TEX4, which was one of the few ways I had for finding out about more of my beloved weird electronic music back in the mid-nineties (I didn't have an Internet connection back then, not even dial-up). Sweet memories. Sadness about Mark Bell. Thanks for the great tunes, man.

Sadness. RIP, Mark Bell.

eznzea is on the way. Actually, something even more exciting... stay tuned. Whoa, even more exciting?! Goddamn, how much better can 2014 get?!?!?!

I'm sure this has been pointed out before, but I love how "Purchase of Caustic Window download codes for Warp Staff and contacts ... 0.00124 pounds" is listed near the bottom of the actual artwork. There you go, WATMM: you have made a mark on the physical release of your God's latest release. That's pretty fucking cool.

FUCK YEAH: got my download from bleep and in some major "SYRO" bliss. This despite the mountain of grading I'm in the middle of conquering this evening. This album is going to rule all my audio playback devices for the foreseeable future. So, so good. THANKS RDJ! So glad to have you back.

In the middle of my first listen now (on track 8 at the moment). FUCKIN' AWESOME ALBUM!! Exceeding my expectations by a long shot! Pleasantly surprised numerous times by little things that happen here and there, but I'm also very happy with the overall mood of the whole piece, so far.
