  1. where did you find this? is this the first post of this ITT? who r uuu? ANSWER THE QUESTION, SIR!
  2. I always thought that barcode was just a placeholder. Why would a placeholder be shrinkwrapped?
  3. http://warp.net/records/aphex-twin is still there for me guess he means the warp front page, not the AFX page. I didn't notice it on the frontpage, but pretty sure the Aphex header didn't use to flash like that I never saw the frontpage change... no it never used to flash slowly like that afaik That's incorrect. It's been flashing like that ever since the switch to warp.net (from warprecords.com). I know this because I remember that logo animation from when he had the remote orchestra thing going on.
  4. The thing is, as clogged as this place became yesterday, I expected more users visiting WATMM yesterday than this. Today we're at 671: we just need a few more WATMMers to break the 699 record from April 2013. That's fine by me, but I want to order the thing already!
  5. Where's Warp's announcement!! When are they going to get to the fireworks factory?!?!
  6. He looks like he knows he's busted!
  7. where did you find this? Where did you find this? Someone objected earlier that the warp logo is outdated, so the image is probably fake. I hope it's not, though. Someone else said it's dumb, and maybe it is, but it's the right kind of dumb. Here's to hoping we get more details soon.
  8. Where's Warp's acknowledgement of all this? I just want to see the Twin on their warp.net announcements frontpage again.
  9. https://twitter.com/AphexTwin/status/501383043643621376 Duh. Didn't realize that's from the official twitter account. SWEET AFX JEBUZ!
  10. Well, that turned up quickly. Where's this from, btw?
  11. Saw this yesterday: I thought it was quite good. Better than I expected, but at times I thought the humor was a bit forced, like the timing wasn't quite right or the actors didn't hit the right notes in delivery. But there were some chuckle-worthy moments, to be sure. And I definitely enjoyed it more than the "Fantastic Four" films, or even the "Spider-man" films. But not more than the "X-Men" films.
  12. (Argh... I can't believe I committed an "its/it's" error in my post above, and now I can't fix it. Oh well.) I think that whoever makes those videos over-emphasizes the poopy-aspects of things. Kind of a cheap gag, in my opinion. But it was a somewhat amusing video, nevertheless.
  13. Recently finished "Batman: Arkham City" (Wii U), and I've restarted "Earthbound" (SNES): one of only a few games that actually gets me to chuckle with it's goofy humor. I like the tunes, also. Saw this recently, and I thought you all might find this funny, too:
  14. I mean, one thing I just love about that AAA (aside from the obvious-yet-amazing fact that they answered nearly everything for days and days) is how I'm learning that my favorite artists, whom I've been listening to for ages just because I'm on their artistic wavelength, are a bunch of decent guys, to boot. Just a tiny example, but really revealing nonetheless, is how Rob correctly points out that it's "not funny" when people pick on Moby just because he's older and a skinny vegan. I agree--it's too easy for elitist electronic music fans to pick on Moby (I'm not really a fan, and it used to annoy me in the '90s when people would say "Oh, I like electronic music, too: have you heard of Moby?"), and I'm impressed by how decent these guys are. Unlike douchey rock stars or whatever. Makes me even more proud to be a fan of these guys.
  15. Just biked in to say: that AAA was an amazing feat. I'm still poring over that spreadsheet version of the thread data: so rich. Thanks again, Sean and Rob!
  16. It's completely fucking amazing. Once again, great going, Joyrex! Now bring on the announcements!!!
  17. Anxiously awaiting any announcements or big surprises over here...
  18. Whoa, hang on, guys! I got an idea! How about we all pitch in and buy the record together, and then distribute high-quality MP3 copies to those of us who help pay for it? What do you say?
  19. Such a good plan (edit: the new one, I mean). The charity part is one of the major selling-points for me, at least.
  20. I was referring to username "frankly"'s post on Kickstarter, not the "ripping" technique itself. Chill.
  21. I don't have a technics turntable (since only one of us WATMM members have it), but I have a Crosley turntable briefcase. If you want warmth, the internal speakers on this thing are *hot*. You won't believe the quality of a rip I can get off that thing, using my Sony TCM 323 Cassette-Corder. What do you guys think?
  22. Wow, just got home and saw the Kickstarter page is up. I'm in! Thanks again, Joyrex!
  23. Wow, it's crazy how quickly this blew up! I took a break (catching up on work and stuff) and just found out about everything late yesterday. Just wanted to say "thanks" and show my appreciation to Joyrex for arranging this! Way to go! I'm pumped!
  24. On the topic of this thread, I just revisited my vinyl copy of the album this past weekend, and GODDAMN it knocks my socks off. Fucking kick-ass album. And I have to say: I owe it all to you guys, at WATMM. I was skeptical at first, but on your recommendations, I gave it serious attention. Once I got to "Gianasi", it was a done deal. THANKS, WATMMSERS!!!!1
