Some great, concrete tips so far and also some perspectives that are really nice. Just for the record, I'm not trying to be famous or successful even as a musician really. Just for fun. Might release something once in a while, perhaps. Maybe not - I don't know how you people feel about it, but deep down I think we make music/art for it to be heard or seen or whatever. And as soon as your art is perceived, it's very hard to not pay attention to what people think of it. You start paying attention to what people say (or don't say), and the initial pureness goes away. You start comparing your work to other people's work. It's bullshit. Just enjoy yourself and don't take it seriously. But on the other hand, you want to make something good, so you have to take it seriously up to a certain point. I'm trying to go for big brain emoji rating with this post. also, sorry about the red text halfway through, I'm on phone and don't know what happened

Thanks for the replies so far peeps! I get the "if you really love (making) music, then you can always make time" point of view. But yeah like you guys also already pointed out, that's easier said than done. I have the same (i think lack of motivation/time?) problem with reading btw. When i was jobless, i spent hours and hours reading nice literature. Working life has turned me into this basic bitch a little bit which I kinda hate lol. Even though my job is ok.

For me it's really difficult to keep up the music making, while at the same time I have to juggle my full time job. The deadlines, the cerebral work, takes up a lot of mind space and kills all creativity. I think i need a level of boredom and to feel relaxed, which i often don't anymore. Work work work. Any tips how to sort of achieve that flow again? Thx

Love that emotinium tune, why ruin it by stealing that title from ceephax?? The fuck Ceephax version is also pretty great. I like the ceelands version the most, the other one is a bit too polished tbf I remember afx playing it in sets before that track was released. Good times

ok imo this is not a stupid first world problem, but simply a normal first world problem that really pisses me off: yahoo apparently deletes inactive accounts after a while, without warning now i lost access to my fucking flickr account and i can't download original size artsy bs pics that i took also my microwave/electrical oven was smoking like hell, so i put the frozen pizza back in the fridge and got a real pizza instead.
