  1. In the packaging for my new monitor, there is a bag with what appears to be a "no-suffocating-an-infant-with-this-bag" sign on it in like 10 different spots. That's a lot of infant suffocation imagery for one monitor bag.
  2. Mastodon recently made a ridiculous and great contribution to the ass wars:
  3. You have already heard pseudotimestretch more times in a week than I will likely hear the album in my lifetime. That's some devotion.
  4. I wonder if ky knows he's responsible for the most successful watmm thread of all time. FWP: I forgot the songwriting credits on the liner notes (heh) of the album I'm currently uploading to bandcamp. Hopefully this won't turn into another long delay...
  5. The derpy blond guy on the couch is James from Twin Peaks! That guy is the king of derp.
  6. My girlfriend just accidently played a passage from one of the drukqs piano interludes. It was cool.
  7. Yes! I stumbled upon that one in my search for awkward interviews earlier this week. Clive was just full of the zingers that night.
  8. Thanks for the interest, SG. I think I found the solution, which ended up being super subtle, but it fixed the track for me... I think. I've been thinking about posting something in YLC, so perhaps I'll do that with this one --will give you the head's up if I post it!
  9. I swear there's some certain something missing in this track I finished (potentially) last month... but every extra thing i add kills the vibe completely. I don't know if I'm just psyching myself out over it needing something extra. Usually the answers are obvious, but this time I am uncertain! What does it mean???? *has early midlife crisis*
  10. But usually it isn't. Most artists I know with amateur sounding recordings want them to sound much better but lack to the skills/experience to do it the way they want it, so they go to someone who has a better grasp on it (when and if they can afford it). Of course, some of them keep working on their mixing abilities until they get it to a semipro level, which is great.
  11. I noticed this with the vinyl versions of the tracks off Chosen Lords. It was kind of shocking how much better it sounded... though I noticed some of the mixes were significantly different too (like different panning and FX, not just EQ), so I don't know how much of that was attributed to the mastering.
  12. Wow, that was really well done --surprisingly moving song.
  13. Million Dollar Man was one of the better actors in wrestling. But yeah, Tim Heidecker's awkward interviews are about as real. Genuine awkward moments with him must be very confusing.
  14. Heheh, I'm not sure what else the Mike Tyson interviewer expected after pulling out the "so you're a rapist" card. The interviewer for the AFX interview probably should have rehearsed his awkward questions a few times. "Why do you have long hair when other DJs have short hair?" --A+ question. More uncomfortable interviews plz! This one's pretty hard to top: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJWS6qyy7bw Also, anyone who's not familiar with Jian Ghomeshi and enjoys a good interview should check out more of his vids. Prob the most consistently good interviewer I've ever seen.
  15. Uncomfortable interviews are the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUO9JMTRIDs I'd like to request more uncomfortable interviews if anyone has 'em.
  16. ...some pus [came] out of the side of my big toe's toenail... That's the spirit!
  17. I went to page 3 of this thread thinking it was the most recent page and got excited because it reminded me of the watmm classic period.... ingrown cysts, excessive ass wiping 'til blood appears and the like. Nothing against our current era or anything, it just filled me with nostalgia, and for a moment I thought those days had returned.
  18. I'm trying out fb's fan-page ad campaign thingy to attract more attention to the last ZN album. So far 300+ people have been reached, 7 have visited the page, not a single one of them pressed play on anything! Why did they visit in the first place? I mean, i get that pinging 300 random people for something they're not interested in isn't likely to accomplish anything, but those 7 visitors are baffling to me. This is why I've never bothered much with promotion offers in the past, as it all seems futile.
  19. Yeah, what's with that? Aren't they obligated to credit the original artists by law? One would think. Even if it's legal, it's still extremely disrespectful. They probably have thousands of fans who assume those are RATM originals, and thousands more who would have checked out some of those artists had they been credited in the inlay.
  20. Well the guitar riffs are Morello by numbers, but the songs are all covers.
  21. I was listening to RATM's Renegades cover album for the first time since highschool, and none of the original artists are credited in the liner notes! I am very bothered by this... maybe even offended, which is an exerience I am pretty unfamiliar with.
