The burial EP is still in the bleep and boomkat bestsellers / front page, a month after release. Can't remember the last time an EP lasted a month on bleeps bestsellers. Part to do with the burial hype, part to do with it being good music, and probably in part to do with the no pre-publicity and word of mouth vibes. I definitely like this approach! *Edit* LOL

Watched Machete last night, which was every bit as stupid and bloody as I hoped it would be. Quentin Tarantino, accepting the best screenplay award for his film Django Unchained, said: "This is a damn surprise, and I'm happy to be surprised."

I hope the full album doesn't leak until release date. Pretty sure we will hear a couple of things on the radio soon though [loving the fact that Mary Anne Hobbes is back on the BBC, she loved autechre back in her radio 1 days so will keep an ear on her new shows]

I still get great enjoying from walking into a independent record store, purchase physical music media and going home to play it. Chatting to the guys in the store and listening to vinyl in a shop is something quite awesome. The shop in Oxford now also has a coffee bar that sells cakes too.... you don't even need to leave for sustenance!

*edit* Not tried this yet, but I have seen people in the restaurant try... and ridiculously fail. I have a pretty good tolerance for heat and I have had a few bhut jolokia chili sauces in the past, 100 fastest times can be seen here, think I will give it a go! Would post photos.

^ what I wanted to say was that I am quite enjoying the Chefkirk album. At first it was rather uncomfortable listening (as is with most "noise" projects) but I kinda grew to like his style after a few tracks. Been listening through my Bayerdynamic DT770 Pro's and new pre-amp, melting my brain rather nicely
