Guest Soothsayer Posted December 28, 2008 Share Posted December 28, 2008 I really don't see dubstep going toward everyone ripping off Burial...maybe more like old Vex'd(with a lot of stuff coming out of the U.S., Shift and Rottun records, etc) and Martyn(esp. Martyn, actually). I actually do like that Starkey album more than I expected to(I wasn't into a lot of his singles that came out before). With that said, I haven't heard the new album. The new Pinch on Tectonic is fantastic. Also, I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but TheWiddler...that's some real new style right there. Dubstep kind of split into two camps this year, the more traditional one steeped in dub music and reggae, and the fusion with Basic Channel techno which is more what I've been into this year.
