Personally, I think it looks amazing.

Yeah, it looks really interesting. The voice acting sounds really convincing which is pretty much a Rockstar Games trademark, and for once the horse animation looks to be pretty decent.

What I'm really interested in knowing is how the music is going to be.

I can see how it could get kind of boring having to travel by horse over such a vast amount of land, and gun fights might not be as action packed as the ones in GTAIV, but I know the people at Rockstar Games have something up their sleeve. I'm buying it as long as the atmosphere is as good or better as in GTAIV.

i think im the only one in the world who wasnt that blown away by gta4... it looked weird (grainy) on my hd tv..saying that, i did have some good multiplayer rinces though, i just really never did much on the actual game..

RDR looks awesome though.. so fucking awesome. its like playing in a leone film!

the music in the trailer (on the xbox360) has a buckethead riff played on a banjo

machete from colma...

I'll call myself out and say that I really thought GTA IV was the shiznit when it came out, but after about a month I felt really disappointed overall. Felt like things became more of a chore than anything else, and the free-for-all destruction just wasn't as entertaining as it was in GTA III.

Wild West setting might be kickass, but I'm somehow skeptical . . .

ps forgot to congratulate Squee on the post count. Holla!

you are absolutely 100% right, where is the fucking army? I missed being able to steal a tank if i got bored and wanted to just create havoc. GTA4 feels like an impotent as hell version of GTA3 but with really pretty graphics trying to distract you from it's shortcomings.

I hope this is good. I look forward to shooting horses and making riders tumble off comically.

I don't get what you guys are saying. Isn't this just a sequel to red dead revolver? How do we know it is going to be revolutionary or like gta or whatever?

EDIT: wait I didn't actually read the original post, just watched the viddy. hopefull the horse dynamics are going to be like shadow of the colossus.

They should remake Interstate 76. That was the first open game. And it was bad-ass.

Anyway I'm all open to go into a far-west game like that, Blood Meridian style.

Wow, I had completely forgotten about Interstate 76 - thanks for reminding me of this gem. Didn't they do an "Interstate 82" as well?

Yeah but the sequel wasn't as good. I really think there is a potential for some sort of funky, mad max 70's GTA-style game. The cut scenes were amazing for that time (1997)
