I buy stuff!

From just new this year, not even including all of the old CDs I've bought:

Clark - "Totems Flare"

Prefuse 73 - "Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian"

Ultre - "The Nest and the Skull"

Wisp - "The Shimmering Hour"

Nosaj Thing - "Drift"

VHS Head - "Video Club"

Rain Machine

I try to pay money for the things I really enjoy, I think it's worth it.

I think that is really good though. If people atleast bought 5 CD:s per year things would be looking much better. Hey, I go a little crazy with my collecting habits and hardly expect anyone to go the same lengths.

Way too much, trying to cut down but I like too many types of music. Usually buy at least a cd a week and vinyl occasionally these days.

I'd love it if there was a way I could get it down to one really essential release per month.

Yes and I am in debt now because of it.

Same. I used to buy much more than I do now, put a bunch of stuff on credit back in the day. Always bought new. Cash only for years now though, and I try to buy used as much as I can. I know it doesn't support the artist, but it's legal and I like physical products. I download more than I used to, but I think that's kind of a result of the internet being so overwhelming, so many choices, I want to make sure I put my money where it belongs...on the stuff I really like. If something really grabs me and I like it a lot I'll put it on a wish list waiting for a good deal. If it's that awesome I'll buy new. I still buy several CDs every few weeks, probably 30-40 CDs a year on average, maybe more. So far this year I've purchased brand new 18 new releases, so that doesn't include CDs from previous years that I've purchased this year. Hovering around 1600-1700 I think.
