So it's codename is the Nintendo 3DS which might be changed later, but it uses dual cameras to produce stereo 3D without glasses. Hopefully it has a more powerful graphics processor this time.

That is cool, couldnt figure out how it made sense until that video. Not sure how it applies to making games fun to play though

Yeah, I would much rather have this than any of the millions of movies that are coming out in 3D. They've just announced that they'll be rebooting Popeye - in 3D! :cerious:

But this looks great! Could be a great new gameplay device where tilting the camera reveals new details and secrets to a level. For instance secret power-ups, coins, hearts etc.

Yeah, it's similar to the program that that Chinese-looking guy made in which he put the wii-remote on his forehead and the image moved for him.

Maybe they gave him a job.

Its not head tracking btw, it just uses cameras to detect when its being moved. Moving your head doesn't change the display, only moving the DSi does.

yea, exactly. good call.

would be very cool and def keeps nintendo a step ahead of everyone again. sony is about to launch their wii copy and would be cool if nintendo could perfect this and explore it further in the wii 2.

Theoretically works like this.

That's amazing. Neat feature if it could be implemented into a real game.

Yeah, that's the first thing that came to mind. What an incredibly terrible system that was. Strapping it on was basically the equivalent of praying for a grand mal seizure.
