Thanks fiz, i just started seeing bottles of these things in the local organic foods shoppe. I think im gonna try picking up a bottle of cordys today.

I might event do some research into growing a few varieties, its extremely easy and can be quite profitabl.

No problem man, I hope it helps. I recommend Paul Stamets and/or New Chapter Organics products. Both grow their mushrooms in highly sterile, non-compromised organic lab environments. Stamets also maintains a collection of mushroom strains that replicate the genetics of the ancestral mushrooms before it (this is essential when it comes to some of the more particular mushrooms. cordyceps and lion's mane apply.) This means his are deeply rich with all of the compounds being extracted for medicinal research. His team follows extremely careful guidelines to maintain biological integrity.

I should be humble about this man, and tell you that I acknowledge I do not know with 100% certainty these mushrooms will give you well-being like it has me. If you're willing though, it very likely will. Just promise me one thing, if you do decide to try these things and guinea pig on WATMM about it, go the full-monty and trust me that I currently am in excellent health with no effects. Don't just eat a few, eat large doses, and get extra cordyceps/reishi blends and lion's mane blends. Then wait for two months, if it's done nothing i'll fedex you my ipod touch or something. I have a hunch you won't want to go back to a regular diet, I won't be losing an ipod, and you'll probably be less anxious. I've got a mountain of research papers i've read through supporting me here, but i'll stop eating them immediately if you prove me wrong.

I don't believe you could get this many positive effects from anything within a week while nobody in the drug industry has had the foresight to look into any of these components. Also, the fact that your acne has gone might be a result of a weakened immune system.

But they have:

And that's only one specific set of polysaccharides from the Shiitake mushroom. Read what it has done.

Interesting thread man. I've read that every tribal society (esp the Maori) with access to wild mushrooms made use of them, and they had intimate knowledge of which shrooms were good and bad

None of those are the kinds of mushrooms that make you trip out...

I use to do alot of shrooms back when I use to do that kind of stuff.

Paul Stamets is a great man, but this....

Both grow their mushrooms in highly sterile, non-compromised organic lab environments.

the typical mushrooms you can buy everywhere have to be grown under theses conditions.

Stamets also maintains a collection of mushroom strains that replicate the genetics of the ancestral mushrooms before it

Every farmer does that with his crops.

...fits the pattern of most of the pseudo-science crap.

But dont get me wrong, I dont want to deny a certain effect of these mushrooms on your health, but what other stuff do you eat besides the mushrooms?

wow, people are sort of dicks here. the guy isn't selling anything, just saying he's had good experiences with these medicinal mushroom preparations.

i am all for more research in natural medicines, but sadly it's still considered fringe or pseudoscience. i guess it comes down to money, naturally occurring compounds can't be patented.

Also it's no surprise for science to lag behind well-known facts established by tribes/communities/groups before hand.

absolutely, it's pretty remarkable how western society has completely ignored the knowledge of indigenous tribes around the world when it comes to natural medicines, especially when this knowledge outdates most of the so called western civilization. there is no reason for these tribes to use the same things for thousands of years if it didn't work. even if they live "primitively" it doesn't mean they are stupid.

It's the 'if it's not worth x amount of $$, it has no value' logical fallacy.

There has to be some website already setup with lots of solid research about medicines that indigenouse tribes used/curretly using.

I don't doubt that this has been a pretty good regime for you. If I could find a store with this stuff I'd probably at least give it a shot.

Guest maantecaaa!!!

I'll try it. I should be able to find this stuff locally. If I can't, is iherb.com the cheapest place online to get it?

i agree with thread starter (and the first 3 posts of dis page.)

mushrooms are my jesus and have great (almost supernatural, may i add) medicinal/healing powers! not to leave out those of psychoactive properties.

another interesting thing to note: the notorious mycologist paul stamets (the guy who is in that TED Talk video called "6 Ways Mushrooms Can Save The World", also owns Fungi Perfecti) cured his own mother of her type IV melanoma cancer and is healthy to this day. shortly following the clinical trial his research team did on his mother, the FDA sent letters essentially telling him, his family, and his team of scientists to shut the fuck up and say nothing about their formula's effectiveness. true story.

Oh do please shut the fuck up.

why are you acting like this? am i asking for your money?

i'm telling you this because these mushrooms supplements 100% changed my life for the better.

i am no longer sad on a daily basis nor do i look like a piece of shit.

paul stamets is a passionate mycologist who STUDIES FUNGI, and has done so for 35 years, not just a medicinal mushroom fanatic selling supplements. he graduated from Evergreen Washington State University. he's an advisor for the integrative medical board at the University of Arizona, and his studies were NIH funded. so please refrain from dismissing me immediately and read.

you mashed two different names together. The Evergreen State College, and Washington State University.

Let me ask this to the thread starter. TYPICALLY, how long do your skeeter bites last? You mentioned them going away overnight like it was a miracle (mosquitoes, how do they wo-). Granted, I don't have a skin condition, but if I get bit, and don't scratch, it will be gone in 20-30 min. As soon as you break the skin EVEN A LITTLE, you just making it last longer. Today (and this isn't a joke), I went to take a shit, and apparently, there was a skeeter in the toilet bowl, because as soon as I was done, I had two bites on my ass cheek, in a spot that would be near impossible to bite. I go back to my room, and on the walk back, my penis starts itching like mad. I'm like wtf? I look, and I have a huge bite right on the tip. I've never gotten a bite on my penis flesh before, and let me say, at least when it's on the tip, it fucking sucks. At any rate, I didn't scratch (but i looked at it a lot. It looked really odd) and it was gone 30 min later, along with my ass bites.

i can't remember ever watching mosquito bites vanish completely into my skin overnight.

perhaps there's some red marks could i couldn't tell what was the bite and what wasn't.. just gone.

i can't even remember feeling compelled to itch them, they just didn't itch whatsoever.

my body felt tingly when i was bitten, about it.
