why not put a fried egg on it?

yesterday i was cooking up a hot dog in a skillet for lunch consumption. then i thought to myself, "why not put a fried egg on it?" i thought about it some more, and could not come up with an answer. so i prepared a fried egg, toasted a bun, wrapped the dog in the fried egg, and stuffed it in the bun. then i doused it with hot sauce. it was a truly fantastic decision--one of the defining moments of my life.

so from now on if there isn't an answer to the question "why not put a fried egg on it," then a fried egg is going on it.

similarity i a huge piece of cheese on a hotdog in a bun in the oven for 7 minutes. crunchy bread, melt cheese, warm dog.

why not melt some cheese on it?

add some cheese to your your hoteggdog and you have my seal of approval

I made a croque madame yesterday and nearly exploded with satisfaction from the moment I had the idea to the final eggy bit. Fuck a croque monsieur, thats just faggot ham and cheese sandwich. A croque madame is the biggie to the monseiur's puffy.

fucking fuck I'm going to make another one right now

edit: mine was more awesome than this one because I made the sandwich then dipped it in egg, then fried it, then baked it for a bit until the cheese melted and then WHAM egg on top, just like that

this seems an egg too far:

although i see the similairiies to my hoteggcheesedog in terms of ingredients so maybe not. t just looks weird. at least integrate the egg into the pizza. it looks like it fell on there from another meal.

fried egg on pizza sounds amazing. agreed it should be more integrated though.

question: why not put a fried egg on top of another fried egg?

might have to have a croque madame for lunch today.

There's a bangin Cambodian dish with an outlandish fried egg on top. Can't think of the name but it was supposed to be their trademark thing

my two favorite snacks/breakfast:

Boiling Miso Soup, then crack an egg in it, then after a little bit burst the egg so creamy yolky broth with poached egg.

Leftover sushi rice, whisk an egg with some mirin and soy sauce. pour it over warm rice.

eggs.

i have been combining eggs and hotdogs since like. . . 94, i like getting crushed chilli-peppers and frying them for a minute, then adding sunnyside up eggs, then eating them with salt and pepper and corn tortillas.

I feel similarly with bacon. I was making a hot dog and thought "why not put some cheese on it?" and then I thought "why not add some bacon?" so I made myself a bacon cheesedog and it was delicious.

i was sat on the toilet. i looked down to see what had past between my arsecakes and as i saw the poop breaching the calm water i thought "why not put a fried egg on it?". balanced majestically atop the pooptower

Why not do a KFC-style double down with two fried eggs, bacon and cheese in the middle with some Benedict sauce.

Columbian food does fried eggs on their food too - tasty stuff.

There is also the Japanese Katsu Don which is breaded cutlets of either pork or chicken cooked with fried egg, onions, green onions and served on a bed of rice. Sometimes comes with a bit of mushroom.

Also awhile ago at a greasy spoon I had the Wakey Wakey Burger which was a 8 Oz. patty topped with three small scraps of peameal bacon, cheddar cheese, mayo (which is made of egg) and a fried egg.

Katsu Don is healthier, but the Wakey Wakey Burger is the ultimate in North American-style fast food.
