Personally I find it offensive that people still commit acts of crime and war in the name of religion, but i guess that's just how fucked up human thinking is. As for how war and the experiences of war are burned into the human psyche, it's no wonder people can no longer cope with thoughts when they see their best friend get their head blown off five feet in front of them. What is even more depressing is that the entire concept of governmental structures controlling the general population only increases the amount of harm done from one country to another due to being able to justify means to an end combined with widespread apathy.
