From RA:

Soma Records are set to release a compilation of singles and remixes stemming from The Black Dog's 2009 album Further Vexations, fittingly entitled Final Collected Vexations.

With the political tenor of titles like "CCTV Nation" and "You're Only SQL," Further Vexations signaled a new tone for the Sheffield production team. Indeed, the group themselves described the album as being concerned with "personal freedoms being surrendered under the banner of 'for your own safety'...Biometrics and the World Wide Databases being the latest inventions to save us for ourselves." The record was preceded by a related 12-inch, Vexing EP, and followed the next year by The Vexing Remixes. Final Collected Vexations pulls in all of the tracks from these two accompanying records, plus Slam's remix of "CCTV Nation" from earlier this year. All in all, the CD includes three productions by The Black Dog themselves, plus remixes by Autechre, Claro Intelecto, Redshape and Silicone Soul.

Tracklist

01. 0093 [berlin Mix]

02. You're Only SQL [bCN Mix]

03. Plinth

04. Tunnels OV Set (Crookes Mix)

05. Tunnels OV Set (The Bass Soldier Manor

Most of this stuff was vinyl only.

but still.. it was well over a year ago that FV came out. no doubt you could've got the tracks in digital form if you wanted, at the time. no?

..just mega dissapointed by their form here. yet again. such ugly contradictions! when i used to have massive respect.

makes me feel ashamed, and angry, for believing he/they was better (in principle) than everybody else out there.

but nah. same old bollocks.

i look forward to the inevitable 'best of' with autographed photos of 'the legends', 'the poineers' of British Techno. *cough*bullshit*cough*

Not.

Will buy. Noone's forcing anyone else to.

more fool you , mate..

anyroad, do what you gotta do. :)

Although I really like the recent-ish stuff by tBD I'm not religious about it either and haven't bought any of these tracks (I've just stuck to to albums). I'm interested about this because it's convenient and probably cheaper than buying the individual releases retrospectively.
