J3FF3R00 Posted October 8, 2010 Share Posted October 8, 2010 so I basically stopped drinking milk maybe ten years ago. Ive been drinking lots of soy milk since. Every now and then I'll have a little but basically the only milk I get is in coffee or in ice cram on special occasions. Tonight, I went off the deep end and bought some chocolate milk and a half gallon of 2%. I was planning to use all of it in coffee but I ended up drinking all the chocolate milk and 2 or 3 glasses of the 2%. Now my guts are churning like crazy and I'm farting up a storm. I can't tell if it was worth it. Now here is my question. I've heard drinking too much soy milk give men tits and other hormonal issues. If that is indeed the case and you are lactose what is better for you, drinking regular milk or soy? Anyway...Im pretty sure that any milk that isnt organic has bovine growth hormone in ergo the moobs conundrum.I think a good general rule of thumb is to remember that cultured products tend to be kinder and dont cause a lactose reaction UNLESS the intolerance is severe. I've heard that sorta stuff about soy products before and I really wanna know if it's a load of crap or not. YEK Posted October 9, 2010 Share Posted October 9, 2010 when i was a kid i was lactose intolerant. i was always sickly so my mom took me to a specialist and he took one look at me and said: "your kids lactose intolerant". i grew up drinking goat milk which is very creamy and tastes not bad i think. eventually i was able to drink and eat milk products without getting sick or any other bad side effects.. that was near the end of highschool? now i drink milk and i'm fine but for example if i drink a liter or chocolate milk i'll be on the shitter for 3 hours on and off.
