*Adopts xxx's mannerisms and doctorly persona*

When a person expires, the sphincter and urethral muscles relax, resulting in the release of feces or urine if the bladder or colon happened to be 'ready' at the time of death. Corpses can also post-mortem fart, as gases in the body build up and without muscular constraints to hold them at bay, get released.

some say our bodies get a couple grams lighter when we die because the soul is leaving the body, in reality though it's just fart gas.

are you for real or are you crashing my thread *cheers

on the movie "21 grams":

The title comes from the work of Dr. Duncan MacDougall of Haverhill, Massachusetts in the early twentieth century. MacDougall weighed dying subjects, in experiments of extremely dubious scientific value, believing that he was proving that the soul was material and measurable. His results in fact varied wildly.

I heard that the body can spasm or even sit up when lying down. Can't remember the reason???
