SNOW II

nothing gere. One week ago we had temperatures like 15-20°C. It's a little chiller now, but you can still walk around the city at night without getting the slightest feeling of coldness.

=>It's almost hawaii, almost

It started snowing here 10 hours ago, and its still going. Had 2 periods of really intense snowfall for a couple of hours each, and for the rest of the time its just been drifting in. Probably had 6-7" so far. Going out to take lots of photos tomorrow - win

it was a full on snow job where i am. About a foot deep. Not snowing at the moment. It's like 2012.

I got about a ton of snow off my garage roof on Sunday. I was afraid of it collapsing under the weight, there's been more snow than ever this year, which is awesomeness. It started melting the last two days, but there's been a new wave coming today. Supposedly we're gonna get -20°C at some point.

I remember how shitty the winters used to be between 2001 and 2008 - I was like "Uh look there's some kind of snow-ish rain today, I know it's not gonna last but, well there's a little bit of powder on that one leaf there at least :unsure: " - I'm glad winter is back.

3 inches of snow and Heathrow gets pwned? Come on, guys.

makes me laugh too. when i lived in holland i'd see parents bringing their kids to school in little carts on the back of their bike in 2-3ft of snow. in ireland and england, six inches is enough to make the whole country's infrastructure grind to the halt.

Guest futuregirlfriend

i hit the slopes on tuesday. with my sister's £12 sled i shot down the hills too steep for those wussy 10 year olds, x-games style. i didn't queue up to be pushed down a pathetic 30 degree gradient by someone's mum, because i am a man. around 1AM that night i looked out of the window and lusted for those snowy hills, no one within walking distance is unemployed though and i have my limits.

gotta drive from London to Northamptonshire this evening - hoping there's not too much snow to hamper my efforts as I really don't want to be spending hours and hours stuck in a Nissan Micra on Christmas Eve....

How old is the Micra? I know someone with one that stays toastie.

The snow's gone off the roads here now. I still continue to fall over though. Twice last night and once (so far) this morning. Gotta dress up in a donkey outfit and go on a pub crawl later so may brake one or two bones.
