Fred McGriff
Every day when i wake up, i think about pho. I want it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. my appetite for pho is so ferocious now that i dehydrate myself regularly from salivating while thinking about it, which only makes me hunger and thirst even more for pho. Now that it is winter, i think about it even more, and just recently i came down with a cold, and thought about pho 2x as much as before. Is pho the greatest dish in the world? I'm starting to think yes. I'm lucky to have a restaurant close that serves pho that vietnamese people seem to endorse as an ok version. i can only imagine having a bowl on the streets of hanoi after mopedding around for the afternoon. every component of pho is among my favorites of ingredients. no pho puns ITT please. Fred McGriff
here's something that i'm not proud of and is surely disgraceful: last week when i was sick and snowed in, i was in a bind and needed pho, but couldnt get out of the house. i cooked up one of those 10 cent bags of chicken flavored ramen, added green onion, lime juice, hot sauce, and hoisin sauce, and damn near fooled myself into thinking it was pho. it almost passed. ALMOST. ALMPHOST!!! PHLOL!!

awepittance
basically the best genre of food ever, it's tricky to get the broth just right. and i haven't even tried to cook it myself i'm just talking about the over 30+ pho places i've tried. I'm a thin rare steak man myself, not a fan of the tripe or tendon. my favorite place to get Pho in the SF bay are is called (non ironically or intentionally humerous) Pho King (prounounced Fu -cking)

Hautlle
There is a little hole-in-the wall place about 1/2 a block from my house I just discovered. I'm finna check it tomorrow for lunch. I will update with pics and information. It should be noted that I have not had Pho before, so I have nothing to compare it to. There are a lot of Hmong people here though, so I'm hoping it will be good :sup:
QBLA
wow... you guys really like this stuff! the only time i've had it, it was a bad experience. perhaps it was the place? but it was enough for me not to try again.

Atop
I eat at the restaurant Dat Nguyen, the ex-Dallas Cowboy, used to eat at.... the first Vietnamese American Football player...... and this place makes the best fucking phở known to me, besides this one restaurant in Austin..... you should get on that Asymm, I am sure LA has a ton of bad ass Vietnamese restaurants. I love soup and this is my favourite soup. Phở
