beerwolf
just nice to read something about one of our favourite bands (even if most of us know the story) it gets a bit tiresome reading twoism posts just for a mild fix
joshuatxuk
just nice to read something about one of our favourite bands (even if most of us know the story) it gets a bit tiresome reading twoism posts just for a mild fix decent article. i hate all of the crazy genre forced names. and the images dont feel very boc to me but it was a good read for sure. the images def have more of that early chillwave / hypnagogic pop vibe, which is heavily indebted to BoC and a few other IDM and mid-90s electronic peers (Casino Vs Japan) in ethos but much different sounding in execution it's nice to see a discussion of hauntology focused on BoC and that isn't wildly carried away* or about a broader scene/label like Ghostbox Recordings or the lo-fi pop of Ariel Pink or John Maus. *i.e. Adam Harper's Dummy mag vaporwave articles, which ironically pulled out so many assumptions and focused on one artist's intentions (Internet Club) so much that it ended up shaping the genre's ethos itself, including artists and fans unaware of Harper, Dummy Mag, or Internet Club

(been on the beer) ditto! - I have to say a lot of my hauntology knowledge is indebted to fumi, nebraska, six, and jasondonervan (rip?) among many others here
