All of those stems could've been pulled from the same song as far as I'm concerned. If this mashup has taught me anything, it's emphasized how awful the standards in popular music are today. It already is, ironic mashups are an 00's thing. Stonewashed jeans are probably due for a comeback btw, given that doc Martins and grungy clothes and girls wearing 90's makeup, have come again as this generation raids the deep recesses of their parent's closets. But this mashup works well, except for the chorus where the voice is forced over the music.. that makes me think about what would happen if pop music was produced this way? will it sell just as well or would be people put down by the music? What's stronger? The persona appeal of the singer? the simple lyrics?
