I know it's boring and cliché to be all 'meynstreem pop muzik sux ass", but damn, there is absolutely no diversity in her vocal tracks. All of those stems could've been pulled from the same song as far as I'm concerned. If this mashup has taught me anything, it's emphasized how awful the standards in popular music are today.

will the ironic mash up be the sonic equivalent of stone washed jeans from the 90's someday ?

It already is, ironic mashups are an 00's thing.

Stonewashed jeans are probably due for a comeback btw, given that doc Martins and grungy clothes and girls wearing 90's makeup, have come again as this generation raids the deep recesses of their parent's closets.

It could be though that stone wash is a bridge too far.

there you fuggin go, all threads moved into one too, for more hilarity. gleh.

:catrage:
Yep. Ppl just wouldn't let it go though, so oh well.

First she released a track which went n°1 in canada with only white noise in it... now this collaboration... are the two of them in a liason?! :emotawesomepm9::emotawesomepm9::emotawesomepm9:

But

this mashup works well, except for the chorus where the voice is forced over the music.. that makes me think about what would happen if pop music was produced this way? will it sell just as well or would be people put down by the music? What's stronger? The persona appeal of the singer? the simple lyrics? Or the music... if just the first two are important, well, it should sell the same amout of copies it already does...

wow a metaphisical mashup, cool
