  1. Warp started out as a storefront, no? There's a pressing plant in detroit too, archer records? Sounds like it could be the beginnings of a good thing!
  2. Count me in on this madness if possible please sorry thanks!
  3. I would be willing to make the exodus if I could piggyback it to a (post)rephlex disco assault or the likes. Redruth?
  4. However much the Analord binder was from Warp, think it was close to $100. Plus the other 10 from forcedexposure, so probably somewhere around $300 if you count the analord series as a single release. Drukqs box new wasn't cheap either, think it was around $42, bought it from a comic book/record store in Pittsburgh.
  5. As an aside a personal antecdote: Over the past year I've visited the corporate music store that's the only record store within a normal distance (half an hour) from where I live, and I've been shot down for every release, every time. This store had a thriving electronic section even a few years ago, would regularly stock warp releases. They got the Cheetah ep in but not until a few weeks after release date. No new Orb. Definitely no Mike and Rich. But the weirdest was that they didn't have the new Tribe Called Quest in on release date, and got the cd in a week later but still no vinyl (christmas gift for gf). Pretty sure there's been others that I can't recall offhand. Is that a thing now with retail stores, releases getting online exclusive distro for the first week? Seems like it'd be antithetical to sheer sales numbers, but maybe it makes up for it in sales margins. Anyways good luck with the store!
  6. Okay so it sounds like there's an exclusivity clause (or something to that effect) with Warp, in which case it's quite awesome that you're finding ways to work around it to get things to happen. Reminds me of the story Rich told in interviews of back alley deals for remixes. Is there any way you could add some of us diehards to an email list or something? I don't do facebooks and I'd be willing to drive to a store if I didn't live so far away from civilization :)
  7. I'm bummed I missed out on mike and rich, I would've thoroughly enjoyed that one! The nice thing about the tapes is they take up less space in my collection right now, at some point in time I'm gonna run out and have to go all digital, which is fine by me cuz digital usually sounds the best anyway (what everybody knew from the getgo...)
  8. Sounds awesome! Any way to find out about these other than facebook? I find social media to be quite annoying, but it's increasingly becoming the advertising route of choice for bands and musicians, which rather sucks for me :/ On another note, is tape hiss the new "warmth of vinyl"? Cuz if so, I ain't hip to it, that sound still drives me up walls from my early days of recording on cassettes...
  9. -redacted- Thoroughly enjoying Intra! I feel compelled to give a big thank you to both aleksi and grant (as well as jodey, reid, and the rest of the colundi family) for continuing to put out top shelf music! Warp should be ashamed of themselves :: Probably slightly off topic, but they used to be my gold standard for electronic misix, now it's just...ugh. That's why I'm all the more glad to have Colundi in 2016!
  10. If I ever make it to England I'm definitely gonna swing by there. Am I correct in that it's fairly close to the beach?
  11. 2015 is turning out to be the best year for electronic music since 1999, maybe better! Hopefully we're travelling into a New Golden Age, and Colundi is just the beginning...
  12. After 2 months of pain from going through a relationship break up Level 10 was the first thing I listened to that didn't jerk tears out of my face, I couldn't stand to listen to hardly anything, mostly silence and deep sadness, but the first few songs made something inside of me grow from the first light of sonic beauty. For this I will always be thankful, thank you so much Aleksi!
  13. Picked mine up at a shop in NYC, so they are available.
  14. Aye, I've wondered this as well. My understanding of kickstarter is that it's only funded, ie no money will be exchanged, unless the full amount is reached by the goal date. If $30,000 isn't reached, then what?
  15. I feel like this series is trying to wean me off of my addiction to physical media and make me think about the philosophical aspects of materialism and media consumption. I'm not sure it's working yet, but I really like the idea of musical "nodes" worldwide resonating in multiple forms, geophysical reverberations transcending the physical into the ethereal. I also like the idea that these nodes could serve as broadcast beacons, if my avatar is any indication... Co Lun Di !
  16. I highly recommend listening to Colundi while studying, especially math or chemistry related stuff. Also metaphysics :)
  17. 6 is my favorite Colundi so far, but the Ovuca bonus disc is easily one of the best electronic albums this year.
  18. And "MARCHROMT30A edit 2b 96 [104.98]" is 7:19, according to iTunes Japan. https://itunes.apple.com/jp/album/syro/id911622133?l=en *checks inside leg* nope 1. That itunes link isn't showing me anything but the 12-track US version. Can you help me here? Do I have to move to Japan to download this, or can I just book a flight that passes over Tokyo with 4G running? Anyone every successfully downloaded a Japan-only track legally from outside Japan? 2. Screw leaks. I hope it doesn't, and I won't listen if it does. Waiting this long? I'm not going to ruin my first listen by having "Hmmm, this sounds like Aphex... no this doesn't... I wonder if this is the same quality as the real one I'll receive in 3 days" running through my head the entire time. 3. Can we now safely write Syro NOT in all uppercase now? Seems that was just the way everything was entered into the tor site ("APHEX TWIN," etc.), no? This is life-or-death. You have to first change your location settings associated with your itunes account.
  19. Listening to MU4 now, made it through the Ovuca bonus disc as well, both were amazing, I have no words to describe how much I love AP's music! Got some system tweaks to perform before moving up to Colundi...
