  1. The Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization both have interests that would make me question the objectivity of their recommendations. That said, my own risk assessment is based off of what I know of virology and evolutionary biology (please watch that video I linked if you wanna know more of what I’m on about). As for the drug recommendation, I knew that sentence was probably gonna be problematic and I though about removing it but I’m glad I didn’t because it’s prompted others to provide evidence to the contrary. I should reiterate that I am not a medical professional, and am also highly sceptical of ALL medical technologies, they have to be put in a physiological and evolutionary context to truly be understood and I don’t think we understand that much about these technologies at this point. Knowledge is provisional
  2. I try to get my info from academic sources. As such my knowledge of things is only as good as the information I’m exposed to and if you or anybody else has good information to the contrary please don’t hesitate. Here’s a good conversation between an evolutionary biologist and veterinarian with a background in virology and vaccine development to start: Also none of these drugs they are calling vaccines confer immunity (by their own manufacturer’s claims) so it would be incorrect to refer to them as immunizations.
  3. hmmm, that may be so, I guess I should put it forward that I am not a medical doctor and as such am only going on what I see as the best available information coming from medical professionals (many of whom have been using the drug as both prophylaxis and early treatment at onset of symptoms). It may be that the drug is only acting as placebo in those instances ? or, what I would theorize as more likely, when taken it frees up your immune system to fight off other infections
  4. Smokey the Bear is used to protect private property. California has evolved to burn, it YEARNS to burn, that’s why it lights up at the mere mention of fire. The real bears would absolutely love a little sizzle in their bush as it would grow back more lush (and have less people in it, at least for a bit).
  5. this push for vaccination will drive up the number of mutations this virus undergoes. expect an arms race that we will continually lose. this thing started off with a relatively low morbidity and mortality rate, but all this pharmaceutical approach will serve to do is to create more virulent strains that you’ll have to constantly develop “boosters” for, much akin to the way we had been approaching the flu every season. therapeutics and natural immune boosting practices have all been forsaken in favor of big pharma, which comes as no surprise to me since our media organizations are largely funded by the medical industrial complex. I don’t expect their model of fear driven profits to go away any time soon, and it will come at the expense of our health and freedoms. Hell, I might be willing to cut medical tyranny some slack if the decisions made were correct, but in this case I do not believe that to be so. And in case my statements have your confirmation bias firing loudly in your skull, consider this: it’s long been understood that private sector science is usually skewed in favor of the principle investigators interests, and closer analysis of much of the vaccine data coming from these clinical trials would confirm this. the premise this was all built upon, asymptomatic spread, was extrapolated from chinese data sets early in the pandemic that were later refuted (majority of virus spreads at symptom onset). Also, the ONLY scenario where masks and social distancing are effective is one where everybody, and I mean 100% of homo sapiens on earth, do this for two weeks straight. that didn’t happen, and the longer we perpetuate this madness the more GARBAGE we are creating for our oceans and landfills, not to mention stress and other potentially new disease vectors we are creating for people. want my unsolicited advice? do what every good doctor will tell you to do: eat right, exercise, and if you do become symptomatic take ivermectin as directed. If these “vaccines” do decrease severity of symptoms then great, let people who are immunocompromised or have decreased pulmonary function take it, but this is not the way to achieve herd immunity (the pharmaceutical companies claims as to how their products aim to achieve this is dubious at best, and dangerous at worst for aforementioned reasons).
  6. Very pleasant! Like staying up all night and walking out in the morning fog as it’s lifting
  7. Dear Warp, Ditch the artist webstores, go full Bandcamp. plz. With Love
  8. yo bro, dis some righteousness pure, harkens me back to halcyon carefree days when raves ran wild
  9. link to something Cocteau Twonz as epic as Loveless plz? Also 2nd the tape option. For someone as fidelity minded as Mr. Shields, wouldn’t it make sense to release a tape version of the newly remastered to tape version?
  10. aye, it’s easy to look at the trajectory of history and wonder why people in the past seemed fucked in the head enough to do truly horrendous shit. oh wait...
  11. Every year I try to take the opportunity to celebrate those that have passed in a special way, so this year it was is, well, this https://clodindustries.bandcamp.com/album/antecline-cowboy
  12. Re: 3rd party, nobody knows the outcome of a race until it happens. Perception shapes reality, but is not necessarily. Every political analyst worth their salt thought DonT was gonna lose. They were wrong, and you can be too. Just vote for who you think would be best for the job, it really is that easy.
  13. Had to do the same w/ my joy-con when I got the system @ launch, Nintendo were speedy with the repairs and very easy to deal w/. Not sure if I’ma get the new Zelda remake, having played the original already yrs (decades?) ago. Tetris 99 however keeps getting better, they added a winners section for total badasses Tetris Invictus!
  14. Whoah, that looks amazing! I like the aspect of battle Tetris at the moment but I might check that out if it gets a decent price drop
  15. Tetris 99, may be the best iteration of Tetris I’ve played since the original on NES and Gameboy
  16. So crowdsourced tiers once rough pricing has been hashed out? Something like Tier 1: Digitals Tier 2: CD + Digitals Tier 3: LP + CD + Digitals Tier 4: LP + CD + Cassette + Digitals Tier 5: 2LP + CD + Cassette + Digitals Tier 6: 3LP + 2CD + Cassette + Digitals On the LP pressing front Archer Record Pressing did a good job when I used them years ago and their pricing seemed to be the best I could find stateside at the time http://www.archerrecordpressing.com/
  17. Aren’t cassettes pretty cheap to have done professionally? A 120 min collection of tracks plus digitals on bandcamp sounds like a fairly inexpensive thing to pull off
  18. This is indeed the case, thanks Brap! Using windup or something similar will extract the file. According to Graham they will be updating the files some time today. On another note this sounds amazing!!!
  19. Soundmurderer’s set was the perfect way to end the night, as mentioned just enough people left so as to give us room to dance. Plenty of irie vibes, Ja represent! Aisha’s set was perfect as well, felt like she laid the mystical groundwork for things to come :) Sadly no afterparties for me, my carriage was ready to depart after the show posthaste. Maybe next time?
  20. Two words: ecstatic bliss!!! Danced near the front the whole time, I’ve come to the conclusion I don’t get nearly enough raving in my diet. Thanks again for the wonderful experience!!!
