I just found the Shard Gun in Hyper Light Drifter. Already recovered all modules in the East and the West, then gonna return North to recover the remaining ones there. Then I'll make my way to the South. God damn I hate those big plant monsters in the East though. Worst enemies in the game.

More light needs to be shed on the 1921 Tulsa bombings, and I hope in my lifetime that the event finds its way into American history textbooks. Same with this one:

How does the World view America these days?

At this point I'm only gonna listen to those who actually have a point, like Chappelle and Ali. All the Carlsons, all the Ingrahams...the fuckin Trumps and everyone like them...aren't worth my ears. -

Trump would probably try to start one with China (and maybe Iran, though that's been attempted already) if he gets re-elected, or probably right before the election. He'd probably justify declaring war on China because Wuhan is where COVID originated. (The more I think about this possibility, the more I despise him) -

Started Hyper Light Drifter last night for the first time since April 2016. Already defeated the giant toad boss. I wish more abstract, minimalist indie games like this existed. AAAs are too over-saturated and unfocused for me anymore. I heard the combat is decent but the game is mediocre overall, considering it's from the Fallout: New Vegas devs. Too bad Josh Sawyer and Chris Avellone moved on years ago, so they weren't involved in the story-writing.

I made a completely improvised stir-fry for lunch today that didn't turn out half bad. It all started out as an effort to use up leftover cooked rice (which is the main purpose of fried rice in East Asia), but ended up chopping up an onion, three garlic cloves, and marinated Spam and sauteed it. Then I decided to chop up some white cheddar Baby Bell cheese snax and threw those in. Then poured in soy sauce and added ground ginger, and dumped in some frozen veggies. Now I gots leftovers n shit for work this week. EDIT: Shit, I forgot to mention one important ingredient.................................................peanut butter.

EP7 wasn't my first Ae discovery, but it was the one that ultimately converted me into a devout fan. Still hard to believe this was from last millennium.

Finally got around to playing 8-Bit Killer, a freeware indie game from 2008: https://locomalito.com/8bit_killer.php It's basically Mad Max-themed Wolf 3D with Bionic Commando graphix. Only downsides are that there are no saves, and the Esc key immediately quits to desktop. Otherwise it's pretty cool. And I finally played thru the NDS System Shock remake pre-alpha demo without crashing. I guess that recent update fixed it.

The aftermath of George Floyd's murder has made me feel more "awake" (I'm hesitant to use the word "woke"), so I'm kind of in limbo as how to best use my free time these days. I've been playing Bioshock Infinite again lately, realizing that there are a striking amount of symbolic parallels to what we see today, considering it came out in 2013. But I've spent so much of my damn life gaming already that I'm feeling numb to it. I have started listening to hip hop a lot more lately though, especially Cannibal Ox and RTJ. Kind of inspired to do something musically again, but with more sample editing involved. I wonder if Reaper would be a good tool for that.

My problem is that I've been missing the local protests and events in my city because I don't know how to find out about them beforehand. But the good news is that there are plenty of organizations supporting the cause we can donate to, most notably the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. -
That's one of their most idiotic conspiracy theories I've ever heard.

You're not wrong. But it's still pretty convincing. Fuck it, there's obviously more important shit to worry about than LG's closet gayness. Although it's worth noting that he's complicit in all the shitty policy making from the last three years.- 22,233 replies

When can we have "anger" reactions added to WATMM, I wonder? Seems like those police treat peaceful protesters the same way the Israeli government treats Palestinians. -
I feel lately like I've become less intelligent. But I suppose if I don't act like a shit towards people and stay informed, that's all that matters.

I'm more pissed off than scared tbh. I wonder how well those new hats burn in a bonfire. I feel for whomever was forced to make them in outsourced sweatshops in the first place though, probably wouldn't be fair to them.- 22,233 replies

I got a Trump ad on a video I watched last Saturday. Had to immediately go into my Google account ad settings and disable 113 "interests" on it just so I could narrow it down in an effort to filter out any right-wing propaganda trash. And in your case that's what I'm inclined to suspect. And while the CCP aren't above suspicion (especially in regards to regional politics with Hong Kong and Taiwan), I don't think they're the main threat right now.
