  1. Really impressed. Again. It's nice to have some of the longer tracks on PLUS, they have time to breath and evolve. ecol4 is... I absolutely love Autechre.
  2. Same here, managed to find a gap to listen though, but keeping having to speak to people. Tiring. Need a special Outlook Autechre auto message to let people know delays should be expected with all responses, when new Ae drops.
  3. An expected surprise, nevertheless, a nice one to have. Will be listening all afternoon. Loving the hiss on marhide.
  4. IMG_3988.m4v Really enjoyed the last two albums. The preview tracks are pretty good, more of the same, but it works. Caught him live in 2016, when they extended the dates for the London portion of the tour. Great gig. Dinked version from Transmission: https://transmissionrecords.co.uk/product/john-carpenter-lost-themes-iii-alive-after-death-exclusive-numbered-vinyl/
  5. I've listened to it a few times today. Just put on for a final run tonight, on Save at the moment. I'm really liking this album. A lot. Might be my favourite album from him so far. 2020 might be a hot mess, however, I've enjoyed having a legit reason to stay in and listen to music. Some great albums released this year.
  6. What's the submission process? I have a few pieces I'd like to pitch. 16 Best Step Sequences 2 Win That Hottie's H<3rt!!! Let's Talk About Latency: No Pain, No Shame! 50 Best Breakcore break up tracks
  7. New artist and forthcoming release on Alva Noto's label next year, single released today. Quite stripped down and minimal, brings to mind Ø and Raime a little bit. "I like it. It's got that it's-a-cruel-world-let's-throw-ourselves-in-the-abyss type ambience." https://www.saelevalese.com/discography/
  8. Vinyl arrived today, only listened to sides a & b, despite being distracted by work, this sounds like it will be a great album. Full listen after work.
  9. I haven't bought anything from Mr Basinski since Divertissement. Liking Tear Vial, reminiscent of Variations: A Movement In Chrome Primitive. Interview in the Wire recently too.
  10. I've been picking up stuff on Pure Life recently. Their comps are a good place to start, some wicked releases in general. https://purelifetapes.bandcamp.com/ Haven't picked up anything from these guys for a while, this is a really good reminder.
  11. Free event he's performing at for Somerset House on the 12th of November. https://www.somersethouse.org.uk/whats-on/agm-2020
  12. Yeah, even online can be good, if it's the only option open. I've only dipped into this forum over the years, but it's always interesting to see strong felt experiences, positive and negative, especially for SIGN.
  13. Totally in love with this album. I'm finding that I'll listen to it all each time, rather than dipping into specific tracks; probably some conditioning from NTS, and Elseq. It's been nice sharing the listening experience with friends, haven't been able to do that with an Autechre album since 1995. Mentioning Autechre is usually met with eye rolls. I really don't get/or see the point of reviews anymore, at least in "trad" publications like that anyway. Pointless. Sure it's just an extension of marketing, and Warp gotta send those demos out...
  14. I'm really looking forward to this release, enjoyed what I've so far, especially Angels Pharmacy. Tangentially connected to the new album, but the remix released this month for Soccer Mom is pretty good, not sure where else to post it.
  15. I can see this being a good walking album. Looking forward to a nighttime stroll tomorrow by the Thames.
  16. Listening with a mate, he hasn't bought an album since Tri Repetae. He's been converted again.
  17. New EP coming in November. Seems like it could be a nice change in direction, a bit more playful judging by the preview track Sinscur. https://richarddevine.bandcamp.com/album/systik
  18. I would love to own this on vinyl, it's most vexing Warp haven't repressed this part of the catalogue. While my fave period of Autechre is from the start to whenever they finish, EP7 always blows my mind, still sounds fresh to my damaged ears.
  19. Cheers. I had a quick listen of Several Shades today, just picked it up. What I perceived as a jump from the Opal Tapes releases to Maxyboy makes a lot more sense now. Will check out the EPs too, not sure why I slept on all this stuff for so long.
  20. Is that worth a listen? Patricia sorta dropped of the radar for me, but I just picked this up. It's perfect heatwave weather music. First run through and I'm liking this more than first tow releases on Opal Tape, and they were fantastic.
  21. Whoop speed straight to your heart
  22. This is great, very excited for the new album.
  23. Rick and Morty is great. Period. I've enjoyed both seasons, there is genuine pathos in the show, oh Rick, goodnight, sweet pronce... Anyone watching the BBC show Last Kingdom? Middle Ages, Anglo-Saxons, inevitable comments of how this is the new Game of Thrones.* It does lose its way somewhat after the first few episodes, but it has prompted me subscribe to Audible and download the Last Kingdom books, so even if I am too depressed and/or busy to read, at least I am listening to someone else read for me. I am a better person for having listened to the books. *Game of Thrones, terrible, terrible show (imo). it sucks as a series of books and sucks harder as TV show. ** ** I can never claim back the time I spent with you, oh sordid , sordid fantasy novels of little merit. Why did I think you would offer me something to fill the void.
