  1. it's a one time payment. unemployment here is different per state. but whatever the state is paying people who file for unemployment it's only a percentage of the person's reported wages. but the federal gov't as part of the recent covid bill are adding $600 to that amount so there's that.
  2. i don't think he dwells long enough to regret things. he just moves on and doesn't give a shit. indifference works that way. the only thing he cares about is if people are buying his spin on things and money.
  3. saw it on his FB page. just finished downloading. funny post. "Another dump of stuff. If your a fan you might want to grab this as there may be peaches among the prunes!?! Love to all.Xx"
  4. it all starts with genocide of native peoples.. jumps to 400 years of slavery then environmental destruction for profit. you fill in details later.
  5. he was always good. so many great characters in so many places. tv movies stage etc.. legend RIP
  6. she's too young and inexperienced anyways. i mean.. she's savy and smart and i think will be great in congress for years to come but he needs someone mature or more broadly accepted by mainstream as well as by more progressive people. so.. middle of the road w/perceived experience etc. if biden was younger and appeared to be in better shape he'd have more leeway but he's old and many people think he needs to pick a VP who can really step in and do the job if he is unable to. so, he has to be very thoughtful about his VP pick. needs someone w/real ability to lead. someone american people will listen to. a lot of people do not listen to AOC even if she's right about a thing she's viewed as partisan and far left.
  7. just means they'll look for the far far right tea party candidate next time.
  8. typical. https://www.forbes.com/sites/shaharziv/2020/04/14/why-are-rich-americans-getting-17-million-stimulus-checks/?fbclid=IwAR2IhdCjIE5hZ_nwFqwu6vcxW3Y3E1pSXALUmbTdMcugAgCx-zE_yhcOBF8#52fd5da2665b
  9. "the only thing more infinite than the universe is human stupidity" - i think mark twain.. but can't remember edit: Einstein. thanks @ darreichungsform
  10. totally. i'm sure they're all about his messaging/talking points and if he came out and sincerely said people should stay home and it's not time to open the country etc etc he could help put this kind of thing to rest but he doesn't see it that way and has no idea how to actually lead people.
  11. this one is so on the money.. perfect thing for today.
  12. ouch my back. whenever i've moved the first day was always beer and pizza ritual once unloaded.
  13. he makes "strong man brain farts". so long as he looks in control and says mean stuff or scores points w/personal insults then he thinks he won and his base will too. if biden has "confused brain farts" he'll look fragile and weak even if he makes same amount of brain farts as trump.
  14. 90% of the stimulus package is already spent. most of it went to big business. the one time check for people is too little. in seattle alone there's like 100,000 restaurant workers who haven't had a paycheck in 3 weeks. just listened to an interview w/the starbucks guy who said they're paying their employees through the shutdown but all the small businesses can't do that. they created a fund for local out of work people to get $500. started w/$12 million. already processed 7000 applications. said it's basically people who are desperate. apparently all the small business loans that become grants if employees remain on the payroll haven't come through and many don't qualify or haven't been able to get through the red tape etc. seems like typical USA mismanagement.
  15. i thought it was jay mascis, it's not. it does kinda look like jack dangers but the beard.. hard to tell.. i did reverse image search and only thing that showed up is a bunch of sarah mclananandnandalallln memes
  16. sent an ep off to get mastered. hopefully it'll come out this month. wasn't going to release anything for a while but seems like a good window
  17. true. but most sources (fauci, other epidemiologists) have said/implied that this isn't going to go away fast and we'll be dealing with social distancing for some time. vague but telling.
