...or because it's 26 years later and times have changed. I very much like the way it's embracing our current era rather than trying to hit people in the nostalgia glands. Before time was, Bob is. It's a bit of both. There are a lot of episodes in Seasons 1 and 2 that really detract from Lynch's style visually - like, some episodes have fucking Dutch angle shots, which are cheesy as fuck if not used right (I feel these weren't in the show). Other little things here and there, too. But then there is also the fact that because of the path that Twin Peaks laid out, and that subsequent shows have followed, Lynch doesn't have to water anything down. This is up there with the rawest stuff I've seen of his. What is also interesting is that, save for some playback of the original themes from the show, it looks like Angelo Badalamenti hasn't really contributed to the new music and soundscapes this time around - it all seems to be Lynch, which also gives the new series a different feel.

Definitely in agreement here. The 'recap' at the beginning of episode one was completely superfluous, as well as other replays of previous footage. Also, I don't like how the Black Lodge imagery has been thrust front-and-centre in the opening credits (I feel it lessens the impact of the scenes in the actual show). But on the whole, I'm digging this.

I didn't play any games for ten years, so bought a used PS3 and played all the classics I missed. This is the last one before I move onto the PS4. I remembered liking the Splinter Cell games on GameCube a lot, which is why I got this one. Chaos Theory was the best!! Have you played Fez yet? No mouse needed for that Weeeeeeell... at one point you will need to maneuver your mouse around to solve some puzzles, but it's not something that requires super quick motions or anything. Fez doesn't use the mouse for control at all, though...

To be fair, The Terminal isn't trying to be a social commentary on race issues.

Get Out - 6/10 Something rather fundamental irked me about this movie - the whole film is trying to make a big deal about racism and stuff, and the main character is portrayed (and referred to) as being an African-American. But the actor is not. The actor is English. Why couldn't they have just had the character be English? Reminded me of that time when that runner was interviewed and they referred to him as an African-American. I know it might seem silly, but this really tainted the film for me.
