    APHEX TWIN - SYRO

BoC back catalogue is legit tho, no? You mean the Old Tunes stuff? It's never been officially validated.

    APHEX TWIN - SYRO

Two things: Kanye is even a fucking musician as far as I have heard. Just some dude who appears on the cover of vogue magazine and married some reality tv star. Completely talentless. He's like a poor-man's Jay-Z (also completely hyped and over-rated). Second thing: people shouldn't read anything into the whole 'Yeah, masses of unreleased material kicking around." Boards of Canada have been saying the same for years and absolutely nothing whatsoever has surfaced. It's just something to keep the fans hungry.

The bonus track is not limited to the Japanese CD. There is a 140g Vinyl edition that also has it.

    APHEX TWIN - SYRO

Limited edition by ballot only. Should be signed with extra material for that much money.
  8. Wasn't Alex Patterdson a PR guy For EG Records back in the 1980s - King Crimson, Brian Eno etc.
  9. Back when I first joined WATMM (October 2004), before the massive database crash and all the date joined data was reset, there was a poster on here called 'Carp Dreamer' who seemed to have some very unique insights into all this contoversy. Haven't seen him post in years now.
  10. nah, I'm just being a bit cynical that's all. I have to admit, I've not listened to this album since I got a much much better audio interface (previously using built in motherboard soundcard for digital listening, and my turntable set up for analogue) and I should really give it a chance listening through the new interface. I will soon probably, it's just I'm a pretty attentive listener (my allegiances on the forum should show that), and I never really noticed the depth you're referring to. Although, it is present on Semena Mertvykh which is actually my favourite track on the whole album. I wish they'd have done a whole album that had that desolate sound to it. I can see you're slowly turning - before long I'll be the only one left. nah, I'm pretty sure my opinion will still be the same. but I'll try it on my new audio interface, for science. This new audio interface. Would that be the Hell Interface?

  12. You forgot the bonfire and Britt Ekland You forgot the bonfire and the Lord of Summerisle as master of ceremonies.
  13. The last time they really spooked me, gave me that uneasy nostalgia thing was with 'Sherbert Head'. Such a short piece but I just couldn't get it out of my mind for weeks. That was an amazing track - for me, anyway.
  14. Don't come on WATMM and start dissing the hammer.
  15. Not at all! 101 rainbows sounds like it's from the 70s or 80s or something !!Yeah! Like Tangerine Dream or something Yep. Have to say, I'm digging this album big style - great choons.
  16. Really pleased with this quality - mastering or whatever they want to call it sounds fine to me. New/Old Aphex. Great Kickstarter. If Joyrex plans on making this an annual thing, he'll have to go some way to top this.
  17. Feedly being now down for almost twelve hours due to DDoS - Hackers demanding money. Yeah, criminals are bad and everything but these fucking tech companies need to get their acts together and stop this shit. eBay, Evernote, - lately they've all been hit. We can send people to the moon, perform keyhole surgery, unlock DNA sequences but we can't stop fucking websites being hacked. Jeez.
  18. Why are you mad about what I said? I'm not knocking those who love it. Jeez, I wish you would actually read people's posts. The thrust of my recent posts have been about marketing in the internet age. My opinion on TH is just some rambling from another non-entity on an internet forum. It's of no more worth than anyone else's. Anyway, I'm done talking about this album now. Where is the follow-up EP?
  19. prepare for disappointment.Lol tellin it like it is. I just noticed your message now. My avatar - that's actually me I look just like that when I read yur msgs
  20. Yep, special oscilik digital release - transmitted over a 28 kbps modem, meta tagged as caustic window but actually a Chris Martin solo album. Enjoy!
  21. Did everyone else receive an e-mail? Nothing for me yet. I think Aphex Twin got pissed off with you, and told Joyrex to remove you from the kickstarter email distribution list :( oscilick, I heard Bleep are handling the digital distribution on this release. I'm sure you'll receive yours in a timely manner.
  22. I'm hoping that once this is at the studio, RDJ is there in spirit to nod appropriately and cast an ancient Cornish spell over the proceedings just to make sure it's all kosher. We're not talking about a new Coldplay album here.
  23. nah, aim high new Talk Talk album Aiming high is one thing. Asking for the impossible is another. Something from Talk Talk would be like a dream for me.
  24. Regardless of the money thing and who gets what, I think this endeavour is one of the finest, coolest things I've ever seen on WATMM. Congratulations to everyone who made it happen - mods and contributors. Maybe next year, we could direct similar efforts in the direction of the Pentland Hills? Regards
