  1. ^ Love how # of fucks given by cat = 0
  2. Sorry but I have to rescind my earlier praise of OPN's cover, listening to it earlier today made me realize that I only have ears for the original
  3. The I Only Have Eyes cover has been a free d/l from his soundcloud for a while now, quite good too
  4. How about a Sansa Clip w/ a large capacity micro SD card? Reckon you could get a 16 GB model + a 64 GB micro SD for close to $100 on amazon. Granted, I'm not one for needing (or even wanting) my entire music collection on my mp3 player, though I'm pretty sure this is the best bang-for-buck out there at the moment.
  5. I've only listened to Rückverzauberung 4 a few times (a slsk records edition, as if I could afford a physical copy on the aftermarket) though have yet to be fully captivated by it. IIRC it seems to float back and forth between Gas-like ether and his more concrete leanings, including that detuned german piano stuff which can be tough to swallow at times. I'll give it a few more spins on the ol' hard disk though with open ears, cuz hey its Wolfgang Motherfucking Voigt now innit.
  6. Can't forget the comedown in the final minute or so of the track (lotion time).
  7. I have a hunch that this and the "Live at Stormy Waters" track from around the same period - both of which are awesome - were leaked from the same (presumably inside) source. Both are soundboard quality and well edited, and more tellingly both were encoded as high-bitrate VBR mp3s using relatively recent versions of Lame (3.97 and 3.98), which only came out in the late 2000s. So the mp3s themselves were made rather recently, perhaps by somebody sitting on a whole mess of old soundboards. We can dream, right?
  8. Keith Olbermann since everytiem I check this thread title my brain can't not think of Kieth Olbermann. READY
  9. Pretty much all bleep previews are 96k mono mp3s, which isn't that bad. With a little elbow grease and know-how you can even listen to them in full from the comfort of your very own hard drive.
  10. I believe it was part of his "last post"-stylee album announcement on his website or friendface or twiddler or something. Does anyone have music in their 2014 dead pool?
  11. Weird, it would appear so given how he describes the gig that became the 'Live' release - I thought the same as you.
  12. I like these guys and their music but seriously come the fuck on. By this logic they shouldn't bother selling anything digitally. also, affecting.
  13. well that's just like, your opinion man. Some of us think it's fucking great. Rule alone is worth at least 2-3 facemelts per day. I dont see this album changing many people's opinions on actress though.
  14. Only on track 4 but so far it's some real molten, syrupy actress shit. Will be buying it day one as well.
  15. Thanks for posting this Uggi! Plan to cane the shit outta this latter this evening
  16. These sound like symptoms of a condition My Liege. Seriously though, there's an artful strategy to the game, weaving shit tiles into gold, hitting the double & triple multipliers to maximum effect, and yeah even that compound parallel thing Spiral's ex would do to his dismay lol. While on vacation two summers ago I saw two people playing this in a coffee shop, dunno if it'd be more fun or more tedious but I'd love to give it a try sometime
  17. ^ fuck that shit. I love math & logic - partly how I came to be an engineer - but I've always played scrabble with the tacit bylaw that only "real" (as in "real fan") words can be played. It's always a grey area, but if you can't define it, use it in a sentence, etc. no dice. Fortunately pretty much everyone I've played with has been like-minded in this regard.
  18. Spilled my jim beam & coke on my wireless mouse and it shit the bed. Now I feel like a retarded baboon trying to do stuff on my laptop touchpad,
  19. Yeah I think yr doing it wrong cuz the first two albums are mint, splazsh especially. Then again I've loved everything I've heard from him with the possible exception of rainy dub, which I just find boring. Hope he doesn't call it quits on this, I've got no problems with an artist retiring a moniker (I actually find it refreshing, provided they're able to resist the temptation to un-retire it for a cash in later), but I was under the impression that this -ville ting was supposed to be a trilogy.
  20. Curious about how your remix of DJ Food's Sexy Bits came about (an alltime favourite of mine, still gives me whiplash) since there wasn't an 'original' per se - sexy bits were just a bunch of spoken word samples tacked on the end of their Jazz Brakes records. Was it a matter of you guys picking a certain sexy bit to mangle, then building a track around it? What kinds of music (or particular artists) do you like to cane in your car stereo (if you do)?
  21. What's your guys' all time favourite gescom track? (excluding any you may have been involved in making )
