  1. About 30 more headphone threads.
  2. He is the master of capturing incredible moments. One of my favorites Herzog moments is the deaf/blind man finding the tree in Land of Silence and Darkness. That movie is incredible.
  3. Her character in Mary Poppins was straight gangsta. “We had the most glorious meeting! Mrs Whitbourne-Allen chained herself to the wheel of the Prime Minister’s carriage! Oh, you should have been there!”
  4. Theo Lengyel, Founding Member of Eureka’s Mr. Bungle, Arrested in Connection With Girlfriend’s Murder https://lostcoastoutpost.com/2024/jan/2/theo-lengyel-founding-member-eurekas-mr-bungle-arr/
  5. Is that a SoundCloud dump track or a caustic window track?
  6. Biked in to say “welcome back!”
  7. Unfortunately I don’t think I have that option with my paid membership tier.
  8. Jeeeeesus! Rewind!!!! I can’t get over how much top notch jungle came out between 93 and 96 and I am constantly pursuing new chewns (as I have been for the better part of the past 30 years) and I’m still able to hear shit I haven’t heard before that knocks my ass out.
  9. I saw one of those on the road this week. I actually thought it looked kinda cool until seeing it in person. It’s like a gigantic metal brick on the road. It also shows dust and dirt pretty bad.
  10. Don’t RTR me bro! I was pretty sure I posted in a thread about SIF in the past AND actually searched “stone in focus” (with and without quotes) before posting but the only result was the thread we are currently posting in. The search function is gaslighting me left and right these days.
  11. I’m surprised that there isn’t already a thread about this song. One of my favorites of his, by far. I think I came upon it a bit late, as well, but still probably 15-20 years ago. Such a perfect tune. I own one physical release of this, on this bad boy…
  12. Always wanted one. Daniel Lanois uses one a lot. I think it is featured heavily on his soundtrack for Sling Blade, which is fantastic.
  13. I agree. Something about his brand of leading man is so overconfident, plastic and boring. Tho I think what work’s about Maestro & A Star Is Born is that his characters in both aren’t necessarily likable. I genuinely liked both quite a lot and couldn’t really stand any of his other films. Loved Barbie @cern
  14. Pitcard @ 1:35-1:55 when his sync clock starts drifting so he stops and starts a few times until it syncs up. Happy accident that really elevates the track in an organic way. One of my favorite analords, by far. Serge Fenix Rendered 2 @ 2:40-2:58 where the 4 chords come in. It’s right near the end of the dance floor banger and it creates a melodic counterpoint that colors everything that your ears had heard prior. Brilliant and so reserved/disciplined.
  15. Saw Maestro last night. It was actually incredible. People are going throw all the awards at it, but they are earned. It’s not a traditional biopic, which is a big relief. I normally don’t like Bradley Cooper but he made a hell of a movie. A great movie for musicians to watch, as well.
  16. You’re fucking kidding me. thanks! I just noticed that thread is LOCKED! Wtf? That makes zero sense. I guess this could be the new thread??
  17. I’ve searched a million different ways with different variations of “Awesome”, “amazing”, “favorite” / “AFX”, “aphex”, “RDJ” and can’t find it. If you know where it is please let me know so I can lock this. Otherwise, I’ll just make it the new one. Unfortunately, it got robo-locked, probably with one of those site migration things.
