  1. I mean, no ones copy of BOC Maxima is GOOD by any stretch...(outside of those who might actually own it). What you're most likely hearing is a dub or a tape copy
  2. Glad you agree! I honestly really like how this one booms, it captures the room sound pretty well. The soundboard might sound kinda sterile in comparison but I'm still not gonna say no to it
  3. Said it before somewhere else, but the Melbourne 2010 bootleg is real tasty. That is some peak Ae and I would gladly welcome some official releases from that tour
  4. YELLOW

Even if it's two tracks, I'm psyched Meanwhile, boc fans are on a +10 year drought...
  5. I still play this record on the regular: https://www.discogs.com/release/6385-Various-Wipeout-2097-The-Soundtrack
  6. Crossing my fingers for a US date or two. Was at Brooklyn last time and it was a mind melter
  7. I remember being alone in my apartment at the time of the livestream and decided to listen to it in bed with headphones on, eyes closed. I remember briefly getting sleepy during “Jacquard,” but like a good, hypnotic sleepy. It really lulled me in. I also really remember loving “Nothing Is Real” on first listen, but I lost track of where I was in the track list and thought for sure that track was called “Palace Posy.” I still think “Nothing Is Real” is too nihilistic a name for it, but they were probably going for that…
  8. Sean mentioned in one his AMAs that he found listening to Kraftwerk's "Computer World" album reset/cured his tinnitus...I thought that story was really interesting haha
  9. The End of Violence, 1997 I kinda loved this one. It's like a weird noir about a movie producer who is kidnapped and a futuristic surveillance system run out of the Griffith Observatory to try to end violence in LA. Think of a cross between "Mulholland Drive," "Strange Days," "The Player," and maybe a soap opera. I watched the Siskel and Ebert review and they were pretty mixed. It ended up on Siskel's top 10 for the year list, but Ebert hated it.
  10. Boston 2015 was $30 and Portsmouth 2015 was $19.89
  11. Was hoping for maybe some archived tracks along with these, but this is cool nonetheless. I think VTC is still my favorite album of his
  12. Anything pre-BOC Maxima I have very little interest in. Everyone clamors for the mythical "bocset" of those early albums and I'm like "nah, give me outtakes like XYZ or Spiro or Warp10 track 7..."
  13. Speaking of Trademark Ribbons, finally found this sample: At 9:47
  14. Sample spotting: "Cunning...swift...dangerous beast of the ocean" from "Drown A Star" comes from the beginning monologue in Zaat (1971)
  15. Pitchfork was also furthering the speculation also: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/11559-rent-responsibly/
  16. Yeah I remember when Video Club came out, a lot of people suspected that. I suppose that could be a compliment but also, there are other skilled musicians in the world besides BOC…
  17. No love for “Fake Sweat?” That one is a jam!
  18. Ugh, bleep still showing me pre-order for digitals
  19. Yikes, really hope the digital is still available tomorrow
  20. Real gritty, gauzy, grainy vibes from this one. The killer was pretty unmotivated and creepy. Decent score from Brad Fiedel, the guy that did the first two Terminators
