Have you seen the film where she sneaks into Keanu Reeves' house and rapes him? You'd probably like it, she's not even a pocket hologram in that one

Gozzla's character is the only one that seems to have a hologirl, or is seen using one etc. It's not fleshed out in the world at all, feels like it was just dropped in for the sake of giving Gozzla's character more depth.

obviously- did you have a childhood?? Lol The broken hologram singer in Las Vegas. It's actually "Elvis Presley", a famous American cultural icon from the 20th century.

Cut? I'm hoping there's an even longer version out there somewhere. Seriously though, I guess you could cut some of it but why would you want to? Yeah cut, because it's about an hour too long. I did enjoy it but I know I'll never watch it again, it's too bloated.

So what would everyone cut from the film to make it less arse numbingly long? Be brutal. I think I'd probably ditch most/all of the romantic holo-girl subplot. The tech didn't really feel like it fit with the rest of the world they'd created, and of all the future-gubbins portrayed in the film I feel that's what we'll be lolling when (if) we get to 2049 (not that that really matters).

Rolando Simmons - World Building
Amen Warrior replied to Extralife's topic in New & Upcoming Releases
Really great album. Would be amazing to get this on wax, fingers crossed that can happen at some point down the line? Trying to pick my fave track off this is impossible...Empowered is really special, I kind of want to listen to it while floating in one of those sensory deprivation tanks. I feel like it would blast my mind into space :D- 265 replies

I personally think the actors work within the confines of their characters all was solid when viewed as such, though some actors did stand out, Sylvia Hoeks in particular, as you pointed out. BUT OKAY so I have two things: 1) was anyone else as distracted as me by Goslings fucked up eyes? One is like a half inch lower than the other and I couldn't stop staring at it. 2) what kind of dog did Deckard have? Not like, was it real or not like they asked (lovely little exchange there symbolizing the Deckard-himself-replicant? question), but what breed of dog was it? It looked lovely and friendly. Gozzla's eyes are also too close together, which means he's inherently untrustworthy

I'd be interested in hearing what you'd say is a really good movie. I'm not being trite. Genuinely interested because for me, this movie is probably the best I've seen this decade. I really liked it but best film of the decade?! It's not even the best I've seen this month! (mother!)

Surpassed all expectations, great film except way too long. Harrison Ford actually turned in a decent performance, for the first time ever imo. Where did he pull that from, and why now?

How does the World view America these days?

What point? Must have missed it. My point is it's embarrassing for the rest of us to watch Americans pretend to understand Intelligent Dance Music. -

Isn't it depressing that you needed that sound repackaged by a bunch of white guys from rural England before you could embrace it. Disgusting racism -

Americans still don't "get" Intelligent Dance Music, even now 25 years after we created it. Even the ones that think they "get" it (ie the ones on this site) don't really get it. Hopeless. -

Legal guns are a good idea. Highly (HIGHLY) regulated hunting weapons are fine. There'd still be problems, but that's because of the culture around guns, which is really the problem. But that sort of shit will take a very long time to get away from, if it's ever possible. Banning things (drugs, guns, abortions, etc.) doesn't fix the issue. It can often cause even more problems. It's the culture that needs fixing more than anything, and that's not going to be easy, if it happens. You are mental. Legal guns are obviously not a good idea. Banning them is a great idea. "Hunters" should just get a new hobby, why not try just hiking and camping without bringing along a cannon to murder small furry things with? -
