  1. Not sure I've heard this one or not, but the vocal effects here are not the typical sound associated with autotune that I find annoying. This is ok.
  2. Yeah, track is pretty decent otherwise. But if there's gonna be a bunch of auto-tuned vocals on this, count me out.
  3. I'm still 13 pages behind catching up on this thread but... esc desc =
  4. Agreed on that being my favorite work from the camp, including the debut Cassette. I like some material on both the 2nd and 3rd albums, maybe equally and for different reasons, but they do pale in comparison to the early stuff. I'm hopeful for new material (haha) soon and that it's stronger!
  5. Gonna try and squeeze this in today, didn't get around to it last week. Guess I was sorta distracted by SIGN, although I only listened to that during the stream and once the next day. Good to hear the feats aren't overwhelming, and that it may be on par with Human Energy (which I only first played after this one was announced but have been keeping in rotation).
  6. Yes, excellent little comp and I also hadn't heard any of the tracks except for the album version of Group Transport Hall. I revisited the first album last week and the album version sounds incredibly rushed in comparison, even in the context of the album. I'm liking the alt version a lot more. Makes me miss the early, more raw and rock-based Viet Cong sound. Also, in case you haven't, check out Cindy Lee's What's Tonight to Eternity from earlier this year.
  7. All good, just ordered the digitals and got an instant download link.
  8. Is download only available for those that pre-ordered? Still showing "available October 16" on Bleep and AE store.
  9. Work has been SUPER busy lately. It's rare I get an hour of quiet where I can kind of ignore everyone. Today, I had two hours – one during which I walked my dog and made a salad, the next I was able to listen to SIGN with headphones and follow this thread. I'm lucky to have been able to do this.
  10. It's like they're alternating between ambient and beat tracks. Reminding me of drukqs in that way, might have to make two playlists out of this too.
  11. Metaz had me zoned out looking at other stuff, then I had to catch up on 2 pages of comments.
  12. esc desc could be a closing track. Ok we're back
  13. I mean isn't that what teachers did back in the day when they were hung over or something – put on a movie? I say go for it. Exercise young minds.
  14. Watched the first episode of Search Party on HBO. Jury is still out. Almost done revisiting Seinfeld, finished season 2 of Pen15, and about halfway through the 3rd season of Snowfall. It's pretty good, may have mentioned already but sometimes the violence is a little too graphic. And there are plot holes.
  15. Oh boy oh boy oh boy pls no meetings at this time pls oh pls.
  16. It's so close to when they're likely to release the digitals, I don't need or want to hear a single track. That said, I haven't preordered because I figure I can pick it up locally. But, I want the digitals if they release them early, without having to pay for physical and digital. Dilemma. I certainly don't want to pay that $14 shipping.
  17. I wish he'd put the accurate release dates for the albums on the Bandcamp pages.
  18. Way better than Gore? Dammit I may actually have to listen to it. Well I tossed it in my Spotify queue, who knows when I'll get to it. Maybe if a song grabs my attention when I shuffle said queue.
  19. Nothing has really grabbed me, then again I've only listened to R Plus 7 and Garden of Delete. I gave R+7 a 3/5, but haven't rated the latter despite 3 listens, apparently. Not sure I ever tried Replica. Why am I here? I don't know.
  20. I like his album covers. I didn't care for the visuals at his live show in 2015.
  21. 'Oneohtrix Point Never - "Magic Oneohtrix Point Never" (30 October 2020, WARP318)'
  22. I worked till almost 1:30am last night and might have to do the same tonight.
  23. Discussing the grammatical correctness of Autechre song titles. They flew too close to the sun that is "proper" song titles with this one, and clearly should have just called it "al lend" or "alle nd" to avoid confusion.
