  1. Zephyr's been learnin' to cook. Look out Endangered species! These Belle & Sebastian pancakes are gon' be delish.
  2. Mac OS Yosemite, Chrome. Thanks for asking. Above this dank chunk of nothing there's a stack of actual dank memes.
  3. Weird, I was thinking about this guy this morning. watmm collective unconscious.
  4. For the past while, these columns of dank have been stopping around the halfway point of each post, on different computers. For instance ignatius' last one stops partway through the "have we tried exploding food" one, then there's empty space equivalent to at least another 4 or 5 memes. Reloading does nothing. Anyone else having this? It's pretty frustrating, considering the level of dank leading up to it. That caveman music invention bit? Fuck me. edit: also gone is the option of reacting to said post. I can react to memeless posts as normal tho, but that's far less essential.
  5. Aha - I knew your answer would be somewhere between one and thirty-six.
  6. There's this grasshopper that's been hanging out on the ceiling above my bed for the last couple days. Must be having an identity crisis or something.
  7. This is right square in the middle of Fear Factory and Strapping Young Lad. I'd deliver pizza to this.
  8. Yikes! It's why once I get everything working right, I don't change it for years.
  9. I like the vocal treatment on that Morbid Angel song. Also, weird fade-out.
  10. Speaking of seeing people we went to school with, I delivered a burger to a guy who was in my high school "home room" (not sure how common this is elsewhere, but I don't feel like explaining what home room is). His hair was all grey and his house was a mansion. I wondered if he inherited it, as he never struck me as someone who would go on to make a lot of money. Could've been one of these subdivided places with several tenants too. Neither of us acknowledged that we knew each other many moons ago, so the truth will remain a mystery.
  11. I'm 35 and still get ID'd when the people around me who are obvs younger don't. Not sure how I feel about it tbh. Ah fuck I think I'm actually 36. Damn damn damn.
  12. Man steals 75 pool floats for sex is def a stand-out Florida 2019 moment for me.
  13. I think maybe I picked up Merzbow - Merzbeat and listened to it on my discman at a Portland modern art museum. There was a giant, smooth, metal sculpture that to me was a perfect aesthetic match with the sounds I was hearing. That's an early noise memory... maybe 2010? Anyway, I got excited since it was a genre I hadn't explored which utilized effects, distortion, texture, sound design etc. in unpredictable and unusual ways. I went to a few local noise shows also around this time, which were profound experiences. It's like being immersed in a bath of sound, which is both relaxing and cathartic. I was inspired to start making noise music within weeks of hearing it. For me there was no adjustment period, just instant resonance. Plus the people involved in it are generally really cool, at least in my experience. I've probably had more fun at noise shows than anywhere else, both from a performer's and audience perspective. To anyone who doesn't already enjoy noise music, I recommend attending a noise show and see if changes your perspective. But bring ear plugs, just in case.
  14. I had a teacher who said that every god damn time, even though I deliberately used "may I" so that it wouldn't make sense.
  15. It's an unfortunate name for a restaurant, however appropriate.
  16. On my first listen... I keep hearing the downbeat in the wrong place. This happens all the time during my first listen of any Radiohead/Thom York thing since King of Limbs. Godrich, why you gotta fuck with me like that?
  17. I don't think I've ever heard Lee Ronaldo talk until now. He's quite the lively interviewee. I'm only 20 minutes into this, but it's a pretty cool window into his and SY's writing/recording process:
