  1. He actually said all that racist shit to make the point that racism is a problem in America. I know this because he referenced Childish Gambino: "This is America. Your staff should be speaking English, OK?" The employees clearly didn't get the reference. Who's the bigot now?
  2. Before you learn her name, be sure to tell her about your T-levels. Mental, but worth it.
  3. Oh wow yeah, very similar indeed. Drum tone sounds almost identical. Of all the Isis albums, Oceanic is prob closest in style to this. You may dig that one.
  4. Isis are rad, but the drums on Lateralus (parts and tone) are untouchable. Not even the same ballpark imo.
  5. Got my online pizza delivery sent right in the last minute before cutoff (12:29am). On the downside, I just spent $40 on pizza to feed only myself. Delivery shifts will make a man crazy.
  6. https://forum.watmm.com/topic/29-watmm-funny-quotes-thread/page-69?hl=%20funny%20%20quotes%20%20thread It would be an honour.
  7. There will be 10 songs, each one 1000 days long. The album will be called "Literally 10,000 Days". Danny Carey finished his drum tracking in a couple months by playing a tiny drum kit thousands of times faster than the actual tempos, which they will later slow down for the rest of the band to play to.
  8. Haha, that's a great channel. The warmth episode is excellent.
  9. Bought some cheese, bread and beer. Did some illegal downloading so I'd have the appropriate media to go with my substances. Went to the fridge to grab a cold one as a reward for all that hard downloadin', only to discover I put the cheese in the fridge but not the beer. I could grab a cold slice of cheese, but it's just not the same.
  10. I kept imagining a mashup of Michael Jackson's Bad with that first track off of Wasted Sky, then someone on my facebook posted a mashup of Bad with NIN's Head Like a Hole. It was a pretty odd coincidence.
  11. I've been going through a lot of my EBM CDs in the van recently, and hot damn is Haujobb - Polarity ever good. Gridlock - Further, and Numb - Wasted Sky are also really fantastic releases. Great driving music, excellent production. I never did hear Gridlock's last two albums, but plan to fix that this week - Formless just finished downloading. Wooo! I hear they ditched the vocals and went in a more IDM direction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfcBbhkHcAs&list=PLX5FTFuiFa-2Wnxd9Gc09SOvKvNNpdTYQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWw9DzhCJ3U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecz0oFKFbEU&list=PLJiy2beJKBMgTz6mkzG2d5A0KOF34fNks
  12. I've seen other vids of him going on weird rants about how all the kids in his audience need to be proud of their white heritage. It's not based on one incident.
  13. They really should just cancel those festival dates and get on with it before something else brings all progress to a grinding halt.
  14. No, that's Phil Anselmo, singer of Pantera.
  15. I discovered this evening that I own 5 Cure CDs. I knew I had Disintegration and at least one other, but this is ridiculous and way disproportionate to how much I actually like The Cure. Long story still longer than it needs to be, I will be listening to a lot of Cure in the van this week for better or worse. Second FWP: the pasta I made tonight was very unsatisfactory. 3.5/10.
  16. lol Also, they copied/pasted the vocals from the second chorus into the first chorus and then didn't line them up properly with the backing track, so they're waaay behind the beat. At least whoever's doing the Earth photoshopping is careful to keep things consistent. If you're gonna fake something, fake it right.
  17. If I reached OPN's level of success with my music, I'd still visit watmm and get sad whenever someone said my music was derivative or whatever. I apologize for my Bon Iver comparison, Dan Lopatin.
  18. lol I stopped the video to post something about how awesome that sentence is (but then posted this instead).
  19. I bet Musk heard that podcast where she was breaking down the recording process to one of her songs and got smitten. Specifically that part where she noticed the backing vocals sounded a bit wonky, so she had solo out each of the 50 voices to isolate which one(s) was pitchy. This thread has taken some unexpected turns. I'm pretty stoked to see where it goes next.
