  1. Artifacts is great! I know it's Nu outtakes sorta, but it feels like a new album. No repetition here, cept maybe Osiris, the songs are from a totally different angle. different sides of the same aesthetic. Cheers! edit: it's like the gearhead's afterlife. free to float around and relaxedly jam out funky tunes. I like how this shit feels very natural and free of anxiety, hard to find in current electronic music I think
  2. Also, little UX thing, would be nice to be able to play your selections from the top, you have to scroll to hear them. jQuery UI has a function for drag and drop reordering, and you can roll your own version of the library on their site, with just the features you need
  3. Just want to point out that the mobile layout isn't working correctly on Firefox and Chrome on Android. Chrome has a tool for mobile emulation for testing, under the f12 developer toolbar. Could help with the CSS or JS if needed. Thanks for making this great site!
  4. By the way, for people wanting to hear Come to Daddy or Drukqs styles, try re-listening to 7 Cutting - the sound design on that is deceptively good, although it loses speed a little in the middle
  5. Is that Synthesizer Patel in Frequency Transmitter?
  6. I could be wrong, but I don't think Cheetah3 would be in the final selection for release. Big picture here is, the majority of the final market is not from WATMM, and so the release will have to have some album-like cohesiveness, which I think iis totally possible from the soundcloud tracks. Imagine this in a record store, and how it will be judged as an album
  7. I think it's interesting that several people said that Drukqs feels deeply personal, that it brings back memories, etc. I'm another who had this album as their first, when I was 16 and I had been making computer music for a while, but was still listening to grunge, metal, etc I was introduced to Windowlicker and I just kind of had the reaction of "Okay..." Well, Mount St Michele came up on yt next, and after having listened to it 5 or 6 times, and a few other Drukqs tracks I knew this was the music I wanted to hear, like, all the time. The complexity, the twitchy, no holds barred percussion, and the emotionality. I really like it that someone else here said that it "feels like music made for me" And the memories... I have gotten little windows into different parts of my life many times listening to this album. Defintely more than other music. Petiatil CX Htdui, for example, the first time it clicked fully, brought back a memory of when I was 6 or 7, in the early fall, watching the dust flow through beams of light coming through high windows. Melancholy and happy and ponderous...
  8. I am super in love with this album. this is my favorite of CN/EOD's stuff so far. in fact, it's one of the only things that scratches the itch for me other than Syro, since that came along and raised the bar.
  9. interesting! crumpling models like that definitely has some good potential to it.
  10. Damn, do you mind if I ask how you did that? also nice touch on the sup-style 3d smilies
  11. that's really nice kaini. they have a good atmosphere.
  12. I like it. very appropriately empty feeling. crowder, it's a shot from a plane. every time I fly I take tons of photos, cause why waste the opportunity, right?
  13. Shit, I almost bought an empty bliss, and then wussed out about money. repress no 2 please lol
  14. I love the thought of WATMM conspiracy theory threads being used in litigation, especially in court. her lawyer is going to play untitled, back to back with drukqs tracks, proceed with quoting awepittance, and rich is gonna be fucked.
  15. God that track is so bloody good. I'm sure I've heard it many times before but this is the first time I've given it a proper headphone listen - I'd so love to hear a full quality version of that. I was very excited when I first hit play as foobar got freaked out my the malformed VBR header and thought it was 32 minutes long ... here i got a version that doesn't cut at 11.5k holy shit thanks for this. I don't like any of the vinyl tracks, but this and Untitled 97 are priceless. I don't suppose you'd have a listenable quality version of that too?
  16. lol at that but also seriously this game is bullshit. this is barely any more stupid than the real trailer and I highly doubt they're going to give Gibson any credit for use of the term, and the ideas that they'll surely be ripping off. speaking of cyberpunk, there is a pretty hilarious documentary about the subject that I watched on VHS that happens to be up on youtube:
  17. took me a few tries to see it, but lol
  18. that's honestly the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen
  19. I started trying to make a YTP just like in the old days, but this is what came out of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfStlvBLMmk
  20. Funny that this thread popped up, because last week I listened to Brownout 6 or 7 times while programming. it's basically perfect, in my opinion. They take that glitchy style, and make it incredibly musical and unique. fucking a, just found a VG+ lp copy on discogs for $11 including shipping, snagged.
  21. these are pics from this summer, not recent ones, but I just rediscovered them. it's the cat my gf and I adopted together, back when he was just a babe.
