I always liked Squarepusher Theme, and now I've been giving this album a proper spin and really dig it. Tundra, Dimotane Co and Theme from Ernest Borgnine are all tight like a tiger.

It's pretty awesome, it was the first Squarepusher album I heard.

man, that track "smedley's melody", how funny was that back in 96. I'd say "very".

Hell yeah, Burningn'n Tree is awesome.

tiz, innit. Ah, those were the days.

by far the best thing squarepusher has ever released

a friend of tom's told me about this at a jake slazenger gig at the george iv a few months before it came out

i ordered it based on what this geezer said - expecting it to be decent

i still haven't got over the initial joy and amazement of the first time i put this record on and heard squarepusher for the 1st time

His best album in my opinion... But doesn't hold his best tracks. Beep Street and Papalon may be my favs, but HND doesn't flow as well to me. And The swifty is just bonergasmic.... when that bass comes in... O MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! And Goodnight Jade and U.F.O's over leystone are his most BOC sounding things he's ever done, and they are amazing for that.

this albums fits into my feelings on how the stuff that was most exciting was the most revolutionary, immediate, not the stuff that shows progressed skill or intricacy of production, certainly not (for me) the less acid / 606 stuff that followed with the second album. you just don't get the same excitement from something that's largely based in how it works at the time of release, not because the music dates, but because what follows taints the perception of it; same goes for SAW 85-92. nothing, just nothing, compares to the excitement of hearing this hugely varied and complete record, for me.
