I have to wait till i get paid next week to see it. I'm curious how people are going to react. Let us know if you cry like a baby the way I did when I saw Titanic. We're counting on your thoughts Mr. Mcgriff!

I don't really know anything about this movie but I am glad it exists because everyone is finally starting to spell "avatar" correctly.

what I quickly wrote on another forum:

"Avatar was like a strange dream. As soon as its over you kind of freeze mentally, still trying to process everything. And its overwhelming. But as the hours pass by you begin to recall the details of Pandora, you remember it more as a character then as a place. It has emotion. Remembering the mother tree burn to the ground, was like remembering a terrible memory in your own life, its so visually striking, your brain confuses it with reality. Maybe sounds a little ridiculous, but Avatar was an experience unlike anything else."

It surpassed my expectations both visually and story wise... I need to see this again, this time on IMAX. The 3D was great on RealD, but I want booming sound and the huge IMAX picture for this. Awepittance did you see it on IMAX? How was the 3D?

I saw the movie sober but when I see it on IMAX soon def doing weed brownies. Because its also here in theaters so long (3 months) I might end up doing acid for the second time for this movie. I have a feeling that experience would be un-forgettable visually. And the story was very entertaining I thought, just like more Cameron movies. The characters were believable and likable, the pacing felt good (though I would have liked more action)... and the cinematography really was perfect. Captured the emotion of the scene beautifully.

Quaritch is one great villain... complete badass.

I kinda want to see it now that you're mostly astounded.

Kinda one of those films where its better viewed at the theatre and not waiting for a blu-ray release

I watched Transformers 2 yesterday and thanked gods I didn't see it in the cinema (because it would cost money. But Avatar sounds like it has some 3d thingies to watch.
