It's a completely useless, in your face accessory that's just there to impress onlookers. I'm especially bothered when I see a person doing something commonplace, like buying records or sitting with their friends in a coffee shop, who's wearing some loud shit on their face that's there for no other reason than to make strangers stop and say, "What a cool guy!"
